Nah, Wanda and Pietro are definetely because of the MCU, I don't think anyone needs to prove anything.

That was obvious one. Now I wonder if Marvel will solve it or just forget it happened LOL

Carol new origin everyone thought it was because of the movie. Movie was already completed when the comic was being made, so they would know. I'm not sure if marvel comics has access to plot details after Feige separated Marvel Studios.

We've been talking to different Carol fans, then.

Actually that would make perfect sense, that Mar-Vell while working on an alien world would choose someone related to his own people to work with.

It would also explain why Kree blood could be used to to save her life in the first place.
If ten years of recording The Young and the Restless for my mother have taught me anything, it's that characters in serial dramas are always happily in love...until they're not

The timing of the miniseries was due to the movie but that's just because they wanted to release a trade into book stores in time for the movie.

    Eh not necessarily.

She would've had to have human blood her whole life to move up in the airforce without getting caught out, like blood tests etc.

Kree blood itself is weird in the MCU. AoS (which is sort of canon, or close to the MCU) does establish that kree blood can be used to heal humans, or bring them back to life (how coulson was revived in the show)

    So there’s that, yes.

Since we don’t know exactly how. Kree-human hybrid would work, the writers are free to make up whatever story they like about how MCU Carol passed her blood tests, since presumably her comic book counterpart did the same.

Her being a genetic anomaly might also be an explanation for how the Tesseract affected her as it did.

My point wasn't that the creators knew what the movies were doing, it was that they were guessing what the movies were going to do.

And again, what would this give her that thirty years in space wouldn't cover and wasn't already covered by Star-Lord?

they could alway say it was not a coincidence and she was unknowingly groomed into her military role or somehow drawn to other kree, maybe carol mom and that marvel woman had a connection..... who knows

It feels like bending over backwards to add something that is unneeded.

Which would be like the comics, I guess.

I don't like the comic counterpart version for that very reason. It wasn't given much thought as to how it would affect the character or the history plus it didn't keep kree lore in mind.

The other way I think of is just say she was inhuman, since presumably inhumans exist in the MCU (in a very loose way through AoS) and pass their tests unless exposed to things like terrigen where their DNA changes radically

Would make her connection to Kamala stronger, and is still better than having kree parentage.

Fair enough, but it always felt entirely speculative. It's not like there was a trailer or report that suggested it would be the case. It was literally a theory based on nothing.

The Captain Marvel boycott really worked. The movie is:
    - $11 million away from $1.1 billion
    - $400M domestic, $12 million away from Wonder Woman
    - 25th highest grossing movie of all time
    - 7th highest grossing Marvel movie
    - 2019's highest grossing film, domestic & World Wide
    The J-man
