Carol Danvers - Captain Marvel Appreciation 2019

What bothers me about it it's that it feels so out of tune with the MCU version... MCU Carol takes pride from being human and didn't even get her powers from the Kree, but from the Space Stone. I thought the retcon was done for some sort of synergy but it ended up being the opposite.

I still really like the TLOCM mini though.

I don't think Marvel Comics gets much input about Marvel Entertainment's plan for the MCU, but they have to guess what's happening.

Yeah, working on incomplete info. Imagine the creatives watching the film and seeing the origin being played "Straight" (human receiving alien power) and "Not" (Power source was engine with energy from Tesseract/Space Stone).

Honestly, TLOCM origin can probably be explained at somepoint as some sort of elaborate Kree conspiracy.

Though honestly, Carol should have torn the galaxy apart searching for her mother's murderer.

Anyway about TLOCM, I kinda wish the thing with Louis Lee, had developed to be more than just friends. I have nothing against Carol and Rhodey as a couple, but I think that she should have some relationships outside the superhero community.

Diversion accepted: I thought Brie did a great job standing in for Jimmy on JKL. You can tell that she and Jamie Foxx get along well. She just has to nail the comedic timing a bit more. I could see her doing more of these in the future, if the acting thing doesn't work out.

I realize as Ms. Marvel Carol debuted in a costume with her abdomen exposed, but I don't see it as her style to wear a uniform showing décolletage these days. Leave that sort of thing for Angela, Satanna, Black Cat or someone like that.
