Right? it's kind of eerie how close it fits. There are plenty of other songs that can kinda fit, but that one is like exact, for his current situation. They are a brand new band, (tho Jeff Loomis plays for Arch Enemy among others, which is presumably why they list him. He's the blonde guy here) and this is, in fact, their first song, so it's pretty lucky I stumbled across it. presumably I got recommended by the algorithm it because i listen to Arch Enemy.
I was thinking about that...the time travel aspect. I hope that the series wasn't being based upon the new Disney+ series. I do know it does happen that writers in two different genre can end up coming up with similar ideas separately. If that's the case, that fine, then the stories from the comic series will have its own feel and direction and won't feel connected to the Disney+series.
I do agree that when TV/Movie story taken from a comic storyline is often better than when the comic series is based upon the TV/Movie. There's more creativity to be had in the comic series as in a novel. I would love to see some aspect of this new series or yes AoA have an influence on the Disney+ series.

I mean, it's only a vague similarity in that both of them are hopping through time, the methods and circumstances leading to the time hops are very different, (MCU using the Space Stone, comics.... we aren't entirely sure of the how, but something to do with Eternity's Children) presumably they will be visiting different times at least some issues/episodes, and where Loki is at on a character level is quite different in both. comics Loki just went through a major traumatic ordeal and came out the other side probably at his most heroic point since his first appearance, (not counting Kid Loki, I consider him a separate character), while MCU Loki got reset to the end of Avengers, where he was at his most villainous. (though possibly in part due to mind control) And I presume the overall plot and themes will be different in both, and obviously we will not be getting an awesome sorta-kinda friendship with Wolverine in the show. So it could definitely be a lot worse in terms of synergy. And it may be a coincidence... but the timing feels a bit suspicious.
... I kinda wish they had tried for a bit more synergy in regards to his hair though, I miss the long hair! (even if i think i understand why they had him cut it from a character perspective) Both our sweet Asgard boys have short hair now, and it's sad.

uh.... I may need to go buy the second printing. Except, when i went to get the first 2 issues of Loki and Valkyrie (and the Omega issue cus why not) for my niece since her subscription would miss them, the store still had a fairly hefty pile of copies (including the variant cover for 2, but I got her the regular cover cus it was funnier) but the same was true for most books, I think my store just orders heavier for the shelf than a lot do.
ANYWAY! it's great that issue 2 got a second printing! I was a little worried there when i realized how low the #1 orders were once you accounted for the 50% overship, but since both issue 1 and 2 got second printings, i think the stores were just being stupid with the first issue orders, and it will do ok. Not set the charts on fire numbers, but well enough to sustain a run for more than an arc or two.
And all this Kree stuff floating around with Teddy and Captian Marvel etc. looks like it may be leading to an event in December-ish, and if Loki ties into that (but hopefully in a way similar to how Squirrel Girl tied into WotR, where it can still stand on it's own) as a couple of Kibblesmith's tweets seemed to imply, that may help.

I haven't quit hoping to find out if Verity is still in that handband.
Saw this on Kibblesmith's twitter:

So I read Thor. Sadly Loki was only in it for a couple pages, but he did do something nice for Thor.
spoilers:end of spoilers
So there is a big party at Asgard, which Thor never shows for, though Loki tries to, but he's stopped by the old and young Thors, saying they won't let him spoil the party. He says to tell Thor he was there, and that he left a gift, and he resurrects Toothgnasher! and then he goes, still all mopey, and depressed, and that's it for the present. I mean it's nice what he did, but I am disappointed that Aaron wouldn't let him have a single moment of happiness at the end here. And still no reunion with Freyja, Odin, or anyone from Asgard besides Thor on page, which I still really want to see, but now it looks like it falls to Kibblesmith to do it. Then at the end, flash forward to the future and King Thor is sad this time, seeing everything crumbling around him, when Loki attacks, and that's it.
In other news, I finally came across another Loki in city: https://steamcommunity.com/id/RayeGu...62975258072616
He seemed to be going for classic, and apparently there must be several other Lokis out there by now cus he was really scraping the bottom of the barrel for names. He also went for a Dark/Dark Dominator, tho he, uh... chose some powers I wouldn't have gone for... but it's early yet, and he can always respec when he realizes a single target immobilize is worthless, and to go for Living Shadows instead for a massive AoE. (almost all control sets have a single target immobilize, as well as an AoE one. no one ever takes the single target. it sucks. immobilizes are only really good for locking down a group in an area you want them in, or to prevent knockback. single target is fairly worthless in this regard. Of course, my Loki kinda specializes in large groups of baddies, rather than be a single target specialist, so...)

I like your Loki better, Raye.
Maybe Old Thor will regret how he treated Loki there?
I mean, that's a little strong for my position, honestly, I like the cover, but... I'm into a good story a lot more, i wouldn't want fanservice to intrude on the story.
so got around to reading Marvel Comics 1000. Kieron Gillen wrote Loki's page, tho he only says 4 words on it....
It seems kind of fatalistic, but I still hope that at some point he actually CAN
But of potentially more interest is that Eternity, or more specifically Eternity's Mask, is a key aspect of the overarching story that Al Ewing was weaving here. So considering Loki's involvement with Eternity's Children in his book, that could be relevant.
Loki is the GOAT who saves the GOAT but his brother(s) still look at him and say NOPE

That story does seem very dour but is somewhat hopeful in showing Loki's relentlessness towards that one thing he now wants more than beating Thor/the Avengers and that's freedom. As long as he keeps pursuing it, I won't worry too much about that fatalistic nature of his pursuit. It's not great but then again, it could be so much worse.
