But...he's not getting more focus? MJ's the one taking action to solve problems (some - ok, most of which he caused). Just because he's the director of the movie doesn't make him the protagonist of the story. I'm not sure where this criticism is coming from, frankly.

I think it’s also clear that MJ is doing this to make sure Mysterious doesn’t break bad and hurt people around him.

Another thing I appreciate and noticed is that this is a comic without thought captions. So Williams is withholding MJ’s thoughts to the reader. She’s obviously doing this so readers are in the same position as others judging MJ based on exterior actions.
Actually, I read the issue again several days ago and enjoyed it a lot more. I think going in knowing what to expect allowed me to just enjoy it for what it is. The first time i had my own pre-conceived notions about how the the story should go and felt frustrated that it wasn’t what I thought it should be originally. Putting that aside I was able to just take in and enjoy the dialogue and situation more. Overall i feel much more positive about this issue now.

I swear, waiting for the first issue of "Symbiote Spider-Man - Alien Reality" (with the debut of Black Cat's version of Mary Jane) is getting forever.

Do you know if there's a way to get it sooner through digital sale or something?

MJ certainly has been immortalized by that one line.

Yeah, like many other "immortal lines". Like "To Infinity and Beyond", "I am your father", "Why did it had to be snakes?" and many more.

I would have been immensely disappointed if Red Sonja wasn't in there.

Bear in mind, they're also Valentine's covers, which is why I riffed on Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane when posting the link.

So I just looked at a video showing off Marvel's future trades for March. I noticed that their trade for Mary Jane has a volume 1 for issues 1-5. Did Marvel quietly upgrade this series to an ongoing?
