Finally got all caught up with Tom Taylor's FNSM and finished the whole volume.
I loved it, Taylor clearly gets the character right, and issues #5, #6, #11 & #14 are some of the finest spider-issues this year, if not this decade.
A+; this isn't just one of the best Spider-Man runs ever but one of the best comic books ever
A: Excellent. A highlight of the character/ Modern Marvel
B: Good. There has been better stuff but it's worth checking out
C: Just okay. Worth reading/ buying at steep discount.
D: Mediocre. There's worse comics out there, but why bother?
F: Terrible. Marvel shouldn't have published it.
N/A: Haven't read it yet/ refuse to do so.

Agreed!!! I'm glad people are finally seeing how good this series was!
Three great issues, no bad issues. Excellent run.
This run was absolutely amazing. I am quite sad it's over.
Mediocre to boring with the exception of like 2/3 really good issues.
"Anyone can win a fight when the odds are easy! It's when the going's tough - when there seems to be no chance - that's when it counts!" - Spider-Man
I really enjoyed this run overall and am sad that it is over. Tom Taylor really understood the character and delivered some very solid stories.
I'd say poor.
I didn't like the direction, I felt the characterisation was off and the art didn't thrill me. I read the first 6 or so issues and dropped it. I may read the rest at some point, but I won't be rushing to do so.
Any chance of adding a pole? We sometimes get more responses that way.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"
"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"
"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."
Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!
I did not like it. This Mainie character is putting me off and this underyork story doesn't do it for me.
Every issue read in like five minutes and I forgot what happened after I closed it.
Art never really captured me but it was a solid title. Spider Bit and the Maryjane stand alone issue were absolute classics. The series had potential but didn’t last long enough to realize it.
Anyone else ?
I've decided to add a poll to this question.
I'll answer it myself after I reread all 14 issues.
Sincerely,
Thomas Mets
Went with a B.
I went with A, mostly because it was an excellent highlight for the character of Spider-Man and modern Marvel as a whole. Didn't go with A+ because it wasn't the absolute best thing that Marvel ever produced, but it was very good.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Semi-OFF question: where/when does the second huge story-arc (Hostile Takeovers) take place?
