    Best Mom: Mary Jane Watson

In the current continuity, Mary Jane Watson isn’t a mother. Marvel even erased her marriage to Peter Parker! But in two alternate timeline series, Mary Jane has proven to be the best mom a superheroine could ask for. In Spider-Girl, Mary Jane and Peter provided guidance for their daughter, Mayday Parker. But in Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, Mary Jane went the extra mile and became a superheroine herself!

Within that timeline, Peter and Mary Jane’s daughter, Annie, gained her powers at a very early age. Rather than discourage Annie’s heroics, Mary Jane and Peter found a way to make it a family affair. As Spinneret, Mary Jane wears a costume that gives her access to Peter’s spider-powers. And she’s proven to be a natural heroine.

Just confirmed by Marvel is another Gamerverse title for Spider-Man PS4 in August: "Velocity" by Dennis Hopeless, which will feature a sub-plot focusing on MJ's career as she works with the Bugle's Ben Urich on a story.

I don't like MJ as a reporter but I'm down for her own sub-plot and for more Ben Urich .

Ben Urich interacting with Peter/Spider-Man's supporting cast is something we should see more often.

I count Ben as a Spider-Man supporting character, to be honest.

Eh. He debuted in Daredevil. And is clearly tied to the Daredevil IP.

Spidey just occasionally uses him. (It's not like they borrow him as much as DD borrows Kingpin, lol.)

Where was the Daily Bugle introduced? (As in, which book?)

I think he counts as a shared character as much Kingpin is.

I mean, his nephew was both the Green Goblin and the Hobgoblin .

As has been shown in the movie and Netflix series, Ben doesn't need the Bugle. But we're getting off-topic here.

If that's how you want to look at it, feel free.

The first appearance was Fantastic Four #2 (1962) but it was mainly there just in the background as a generic newspaper title, with its expanded form coming in the pages of ASM.

    J. Jonah Jameson first appeared in ASM #1 (March 1963).

The first appearance of Daredevil is Daredevil #1 (April 1964).

Ben Urich was created by Roger McKenzie and Gene Colan and first appeared in Daredevil #153 (July 1978).

Wow! Thanks for the info that the Daily Bugle's first appearance was in Fantastic Four #2 (1962) I never knew it was mainly there just in the background as a generic newspaper title!
