I wasnt talking about Magik/Armor, but the second part of Colossus1980's post about how it is very unlikely that Armor will ever date an Asian male.
Any issues I have with Magik/Armor would have more to do with the age difference, the difference in life experience, and the fact that Illyana has spent a lot of time torturing and traumatising Hisako's classmates.
Im both Ace and have Asperger's. FUN!
seriously though this is why we need more representation. So the good ones can make up for the bad ones. Almost all Asperger's/high functioning autism spectrum characters I have seen have always had something that annoyed me. Though that could also just be me finding something in the character I don't like about myself. I haven't seen the Good Doctor yet, but from the ads it looks like it could be kinda too cutesy.
Actually its funny PsychoEFrost mentions Ron Stoppable, the character I most relate to in terms of my Asperger's is a also a cartoon character, Ghoulia Yelps from Monster High.

Noticed that Marvel has created more Asian females than males of late. Of course quite a few of them are lesbians and the others are not going out with Asian males.
Than I noticed it seems that Marvel likes to make the new Asian males gay. Examples are Jake Oh from Shield, the Korean secretary from She-Hulk, and some other character from Patsy Walker.
It would be great if Marvel could at least have one hetro Asian couple.
iirc Jake Oh and Telekinian (from Hellcat) are both bisexual. Jake was introduced in Phoenix Warsong as a potential love interest of one of the Stepford Cuckoos, and Telekinian had an semi villainous ex-girlfriend.
So they could both potentially date an Asian girl in the future. It would just require writers actually choosing to use them.
There's also Hindsight from the last Generation X series, he was half Korean and bisexual.
Plus I don't necessarily mind that a lot of the recently introduced Asian American charcters at Marvel are LGBT+, there's a lot of racism and stigma in the queer community so it's also important representation in it's own right

Armor could come out as Asexual or just stay single just because not every character needs to be in a relationship.
One adds representation for a group that's often misundestood and could use some positive depictions in media which they rarely (if ever) get to see. The other adds nothing. So I'll throw my support for her being Ace.
Most LGBT characters in media are Cis Gay White Men so it's nice seeing Marvel reflecting the racial diversity within our community. I think characters like Ian Soo and Jake Oh (both of whom are bi) have more to do with writers being aware of POC LGBT people existing and how underrepresented they are than a concious effort to "make the asian male characters gay."
I'm split on it.
On the one hand it gives positive represention to an under served group of people.
On the other, it kinda limits the kind of stories you can tell about the character.
Like it or not, romantic subplots are a pretty big aspect of character development and story telling.
Touched on this in the Black Male x-characters thread. . .a concious effort to "make the asian male characters gay.
Any Hetero "Non-white" is kept out of media HISTORICALLY. Because the hetero white male patriarchal view finds a gay Asian male "not a threat" to what they think is important same as males of other races...
So american media (where comics came from), you're far more likely to see an asain girl with literally ANY OTHER RACE. Meanwhile, Asian males will be treated as Saints/Eunuchs or gays or of course: Unspeaking Martial Arts weapons.
It has more to do with continuing that trend since more than more of us would like to admit... considering that while the characters might be more diverse the writers... are largely cultrualy Homogenous.
But... to the Op... I feel like the X-books are crowded and lots of the X-people of that generation are underdeveloped in one way or another.

My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
Everything else is irrelevant.
