Mon-El's reboot costume was pretty cool!

WILDFIRE!!! As much as I hated the Atom'X/Blastoff origin, by the time they really introduced Wildfire, he was Wildfire. He's pretty much been the same in all reboots in terms of personality and having a tragic backstory.

I started to say Dream Girl but I do seem to remember her going thru that helpless damsel in distress period. I think Karate Kid then trained her in hand to hand combat so she could defend herself. Later on, I was so glad when Paul Levitz gave her a brain and a spine.

I remember in the reboot I think when they toyed with the idea of Dream Girl being able to go into a dreamlike state when she was fighting so she could use her powers to see her oppnents next move and counter it. I thought that was a very cool new use for her powers, but they never really went anywhere with it.

Ultraboy. I don't think I ever met a version of Ultraboy I didn't like. I liked quite a lot how he was pictured in the 5YL Legion, as someone with street smarts that deliberately didn't let on how smart he was. That Annual #1 that contextualized the Murder of An Ryd and Brainy's breakdown as a retaliation by Glorith for Jo having spoiled her plans was, IMHO, awsome.

    Peace

Agree. That Annual was amazing. I loved how they sort of rewrote history and pulled in everything that was going on in the 5-years-later Legion. And finally clearing up the mystery as to why Phantom Girl was transported to the 20th century and swapping with the Durlan. Ultra Boy was written very well in the 5-years-later Legion.

Yeah, that was a disappointment that they didn't explore that.

I always wanted Dreamy to have the ability to put opponents to sleep and then explain that she got that ability from an old lover. When asked about it by Star Boy, she would tell him not to worry - 'He hasn't visited me in my dreams in years' - referencing Daniel/Sandman.

I really thought all the characters were well written in the 5YL stories; Giffen was a master plotter, and the Birnbaums, who were major fans, did the character beats. Certainly, Lyle, Tenzil and Night Girl received a lot of needed attention, and the new kids ...especially Laurel... really filled out the roster, and the stories. I so wish that version had continued.

I wonder what they plan on doing with Mysa, once the Legion comes back. Will she be affected by Mordru’s magic? Will she become the new Amethyst?

It's not bad. It looks like an "M"', it has stars, ai think it works.

It could also be seen as a "V" for "Valor."

I didn't *love* the actual Valor book itself, but I always enjoyed the Valor idea that DC was pushing in the 90s. I thought a hero spanning both the main era and the Legion era was neat.

Giffen’s LoSH postcards. I’m constantly searching for these to buy online.
