I thought it worked at the time, but that they should have transitioned back to real superhero costumes to demonstrate that they were bringing back the hope and heroism that had been lost. It seemed to be what the series had been building to, but it was almost anti-climactic when they became a team again, and then things just got darker anyway.
A bit hard to read but I can summarize. The numbers represent role within the Legion and the lines represent relationship with each other.

Considering the league has dozens of characters (pre-crisis 1985, certainly), I wonder what characters will be focused on this time around, and have they already done designs for them?
Since this is something of a... ahem... reboot, I also wonder how often changes will be made to certain characters, to race (human-based), gender, sexuality, body-shape (e.g., Bouncing Boy was the only fat member?), etc.
For this future-based, multiple-planets-based series, there's no excuse for not trying to explore as many aspects of diversity as possible.
The flowchart is somewhat informative, but it's based on the Archie-Legion, judging from the artwork and members.
So, things are changed from the classic continuity. I don't see a family relationship line being drawn between RJ Brande and Chameleon Boy, but there is one between Brande and Triad.
They've already been slowly moving in that direction, in fits and starts, excruciatingly slowly, either during reboots (Sensor to Sneckie, Thom is now African-Xanthuan, adding Kid Quantum 2, etc.), or by replacing characters (new Invisible Kid is Jacques), organically developing characters (Ayla and Vi now a couple), refocusing on previous non-white characters (Tyroc is back!) or introducing newer ethnic characters (Dragonwing, Chemical Kid, Glorith).
Just from the looks we've gotten, Rokk looks quite a bit more Asian than he did even in the Threeboot (and certainly more so than the Reboot or Classic continuities, were he seemed unquestionably caucasian).
Yeah, and they might be changed yet again for the new Bendis continuity. Who knows if Garth and Imra are going to have Graym, let alone Garridan, or Dorrit and Dacy. (Three separate continuity options for just their kids, which may not even exist at all, since they weren't even dating in one continuity!)
I love that the poster has a single line coming from Umbra to 'everybody' that represents her chief relationship status of 'intense dislike.' That may not have been my Shady, by any stretch, but she was certainly a fun character.
