And on that note... my entire Cap collection for a Sam Wilson appearance in the current Cap book. I mean, seriously, there was no reason to shelf him like that and it makes no sense plot-wise either, considering how close he and Steve are, and how their relationship was depicted/last shown in that Captain America Generations issue following Secret Empire (let alone decades of Cap comics) for him not to be there.

The only reason I could think of would be that Marvel got leery of the backlash Sam received for becoming the new Captain America and decided to take him off the board for a few years until said backlash died down, especially after his post-Captain America solo didn't do so well. That said, it is a real shame that we don't see Sam showing up to help his best buddy Steve in this trying time. Originally Posted by capandkirby
