"Sir, does this mean that Ann Margret's not coming?"

this is Aaron's shot at us, fans.
LoL he is literally copying Gorr the God Butcher arc but only this time Jane will join this Thor team and will most likely be way better than any Thor.
oh and Mjölnir is all that makes me Thor is absolutely horrendous writing.
Aaron... just leave pls.

I feel like this is also poorly glomming Thor: Avengers Disassembled, where Thor did as Odin, and gave up his eye for wisdom (and was forced to give up both).
Then, it had pathos. Here, it's a poor imitation, especially given the villain. What exactly makes this any different from your cliche earth invasion story? Maximum Security had a deeper meaning, and that was just meant as a summer crossover!
Aaron seems to have watched the last two Thor movies, and come away with the completely wrong conclusions about them.
Don't take the last piece of Mjolnir! It's all that makes me Thor!
Really, Aaron? Really? Really?!

I see the years since then haven't been kind to you
Boy is that an understatement.
This has, like, so much of what I don't like about this run anymore.
- Thor's obsession with Mjolnir.
- Young Thor.
- Too many Thors. Like, the answer to beating Malekith is...more Thors? Seriously?
- Now Thor's lost an eye, because of course he does. Too late for movie synergy though.
I have a feeling that young Thor will get transported to the future and become the Thor of the new status quo. It could conceivably reset Thor. A newly worthy Thor with his Mjolnir from the past and all of his limbs you can hav a lot of fish out of water stories and the new writer can make his closer to the MCU Thor from the first film.
But who knows?
