Watch episode 1 from season 1 and 3 at the same time if you can. There is a very noticeable change in the animation quality.

I'm not saying that isn't an issue. People have been pointing that out as well .

Hopefully. Because he just got his butt kicked and had to be rescued by a bunch of z listers in the last yj episode. Man, that show has gone so down hill this season.

I stopped watching it after 3 episodes and can’t find the will to continue further.
I Wasn’t a fan of previous seasons either, after reading your comments i think my way into it ends here.

I really want Ross to draw more of the original sidekicks.

I generally don't care for Ross' work. Which is odd, because everyone else seems to love it.

I could've sworn Garth was name-dropped in his first appearance.

Been looking into this. Haven't found first instance his name yet, but someone pointed out this in Adventure Comics #444 (April 1976 cover date) to me.

Edit: In Aquaman #63 (Aug-Sep 1978), Garth says he's just learned his name and his heritage. I'm not sure what issue that's in - it's all tied in with the royalty and Idyllists and Aquababy dying and Arthur almost killing Garth and such. So not storylines I'm fond of.

You read Garth so different than i did, and i hate the version of Garth that wore blue, but whatever.
It fits Arthur's character that he's surrounded by so many royals and top-dogs in the society. To me princes and things like that is still unique, especially in Garth's case. And Garth was originally the only sidekick and the only contrast to Aquaman and also appeared before Mera, so it's only coincedence that she and Orm are ALSO royals. His story was not working towards a throne, like Orm and Kaldur , not even abandoning the throne like Mera, but about reclaims his own throne. It's like Dick's functions and roles being divided back in the Batfam and the only time he comes full circle is when he was Batman.

Not everyone around Arthur has to be a royal and he's had people who aren't royals around him. And if Garth is supposed to be a contrast to Arthur then not making him a prince makes more sense.

Dick never wanted to be Batman and aside from his relationship with Damian, was miserable the entire time he was.
