She's more tethered to the "spider-family" then some of the other spider-characters in my opinion since she's actually close to Peter.

I think they said at a panel that her relationship with Spidey will factor into her book somewhat, so I don't think it's going to just ignore those connections.

For all we know, she really did have a son in the PS4 universe. Assuming Mayday ever comes into existence, it would make a very interesting dynamic between her and her half-brother.
