There's that moment in the Black Cat Hunted issue where in the flashback Peter gives her the drone, but since its in a ring case for a split second she thinks that's what he's giving her so reacts angrily, with Peter even replying how that's not something she would like anyway if it was it.

That's ultimately the thing that really pushes them away (and what did so in the first place), Felicia's inability to be completely honest regarding her feelings, so it'll take her having to face those personal issues to make a long lasting relationship really work.
Reminds me that there was also a story, think it was in Marvel Knight Spider-Man, which someone mentioned that Spidey didn't realize how much Felicia still cared for him, so yeah, guess that's consistent.

I think PS4 Spidey has a dialogue with Aunt May talking about some older woman that Peter dated, which Peter replied with something like "She's not that much older!, not stated that it was Felicia, but very likely it was lol.

in Spectacular, I remember reading that she's supposed to be 19 (Honestly was thinking she'd be in her 20's lol), so if Peter there was 15 (Default age when he becomes Spidey), then she's 4 years older.

Also, we have this page in Black Cat#3:

And it's not the first time she was confused with someone else:

    Or with Silver Sable:

Maybe she was pissed because it happened again

The Black Widow one is from Spectacular#112, Silver Sable from Spectacular#113

Also, the justification used for her to defeat Xander was pure bullshit, specialy since magic is what made her lose the bad luck powers once, if anything, her powers should have a weird effect on Wanda's power due to their similarity (And even so, not completely counter it like it happened here), felt pretty asspull lol.

Yeah, that Marvel Knights story you were referring to, that someone was Mary Jane herself remarking to Peter about how much Felicia still loved him --- and with no jealousy or ill will, mind you.

Your question made me create the headcanon that she unzipped her costume to show off her cleavage to stop being confused with other women

I found the issue, it's from Marvel Knights Spider-Man#12:

    https://i.imgur.com/vlSx9p3.jpg

It was actualy Peter narrating it, he just mentions how other characters noticed it before him, what MJ thinks is vague because of that, but then again, knowing her, she was probably cool about it.

Oh, I loved the Marvel Knights story, it painted MJ and Felicia so well. Some of Millar's dialogue was too rough and out of character for Peter, but I chalk it up to Peter being on edge due to Aunt May being kidnapped for so long. Still, I think that was the best representation of the love triangle's dynamic. I also did like the little inner monologue Peter has at the end while he kept Felicia company. Also, the Dodson's and Cho's artwork was great!
Admiral of a fleet of shipsórelationships!
Comicbooks are nothing to me without ships and romance!

Thanks for correcting me on that.

A personal message from Dan Slott about the idea of Spider-Man in a relationship with a super heroine:
    Darthfury78,

I know it's a favorite subject of yours. But, honestly, Peter Parker hooking up w/ a super hero just isn't going to happen-- same for a character that's deeply entrenched in another book/universe/dimension's continuity. The main reasons are (though I know you don't agree...)

    1. It takes something out of the soap opera column of Peter Parker's life-- and puts it onto the Spider-Man side.

Part of the fun of a monthly Spider-Man title is watching the juxtaposition of Peter's normal life and his Spider-Man life. If you borrow such a big piece from the Peter-side and place it on the Spidey-side, you really don't leave that much for Peter to do.

    2. It makes Spidey's super hero life a little easier too-- by having such easy, quick access to another hero.

    3. Other continuities/dimensions/titles having such a large effect on Peter Parker's personal life is, at times, a little to "inside baseball" and intimidating to both new readers and fans who JUST want to read about Spidey in his own book.

While a super villain/super hero romance might be a fun shake up in the short term-- trust me-- you are NOT going to see a relationship like that happening as an ongoing status quo.
While I'll agree that romance is short term, long term friendship is forever an ongoing status quo. Felicia Hardy is proof that a strong friendship can weather romance any day.

No problem, I mostly like to double check to confirm something.

Well, while Slott has a point about having another hero messing with Spidey's own status quo could be an issue, I don't really agree with it making his life easier or removing something so entirely from Peter's life, though it'd depend on who he's dating. Like if let's say, he started to date Jean Grey, he'd only be able to date her as Spider-Man since she's such a public figure, so dating her as Peter would raise eyebrows, so that could affect him personaly by just not being able to go out with her as Peter, who he sees as his "real" side, so that could have relationship issues. As for making his super hero life easier because he could just call her up to help, he could do the same with any other heroes, he was even in 3 super hero teams at once that one time and it didn't affect his solo comics too much.

Felicia herself shows that while dating another super has perks, it also can have downs too, and if you throw in shit about them not seeing each other as much because of their super hero lives, which, can affect a relationship, and there could be more issues I didn't think of, so I don't see as "It'd make life too easy for Spidey", it'd only be so if you write it like that.

The only costumed heroine I care for Spidey being with is Felicia and even as a fan of the relationship I know it's not the "endgame" for one reason or another.

I do have a soft spot for Kitty and Firestar though.

Wait, did Spidey and Firestar date at any point? Was it in the cartoon or did it happen randomly in the comics?

Not "date," but I think it was in a Robert Kirkman Marvel Team-Up issue where they accidentally kissed (or it looked that way) so MJ threw Peter on the couch .

There was also some teasing for them in the Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane comic.

Found it, wasn't in a Marvel Team Up (Unless Comicbookdb is wrong, she never was in one of those), the story is "Opposites Attack", it was in "Spider-Man Family Featuring Spider-Man's Amazing Friends", but the story was also in "X-Men Origins: Firestar"'s TPB:

Peter having fun with MJ being jealous is funnier than expected.

Also he must have a really shitty couch for it to give him back pain when he does bone breaking poses all the time

    Right, that happened too lol.

Funnily enough, both stories were written by Sean McKeever. I guess he has a preference

As for the above Slott post, I've always been curious in general what his stance on Spider-Man in relationships in general is.

Based on what he's said in interviews, and on his writing itself, Carlie was only used for that short while because he had to, MJ he believes only works if they're married so he wrote them like that in an AU, Felicia was written out in a way so them together wouldn't be an option, Bobbi was only a short thing because he liked how Immonen drew them together, and everyone else was just kind of there and never really went anywhere. So I've always wondered given his experiences, if he wrote them this way just because he didn't have any story ideas to take anyone, or that Spider-Man just shouldn't be in any steady relationships for a significant period of time. Could go either way.
Current Reading List: Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider, Sonic The Hedgehog, Absolute Carnage, Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, Gwenpool Strikes Back, Runaways, The White Trees

This is just an idea but, since Felicia is back to her classic self after what "Superior Spider-Man" did to her (thank godness!) and we all know that "nature hates the void", how about if Lily Hollister (who the last time we saw her, she was embracing the new identity as "Queen Cat") takes her place as "Queenpin of crime"? As far as I see, it would be very fitting.

I love how she innocently kisses him on the cheek while the angle of the footage makes it look like it was on the lips.

Makes me wonder how MJ reacted to Felicia trying to kiss him through his mask that one time...
