I'm not sure if those group shots are necessarily meant to indicate which character would be getting a more prominent role. Cyborg is prominent in that image, yet judging by his JL run, Snyder couldn't care less about the character. Perhaps he told Capullo to draw specific characters more prominently in this group shot because you otherwise won't see them in his JL book.

It's an interesting enough story, while Kyle isn't exactly true to canon, he's probably the closest in the broad strokes of his character. On the other hand Alan Scott fans are not advised to read it, and I have my doubts whether Hal fans would either, especially if they are Hal/Carol 'shippers. Originally Posted by LP22

To be fair, it's an elseworld story under the elseworld banner, I wouldn't really be expecting anyone to be in-character according to canon.
