Not a fan of his politics, but I LOVE his work on Green Lantern.

Actually, while I do agree he is a great artist, I do not like him on a title like GL. I think certain styles are better suited to certain titles and in EVS case, GL is not one of those.

I think he was great on GL. EVS has a very detailed and realistic style. I think it worked for GL. Flash on the other hand I think is not as well suited for him. Although some of my favorite Wally pics are from him.

I prefer the likes of Ivan Reis, Carlos Pacheco, Rafa Sandoval, and Darryl Banks, but I recognize EVS did an amazing job.

Van Sciver is okay as an artist, but I also think he's an odd fit for Green Lantern. Honestly, he is more of a horror artist. He seems to specialize in grotesque creatures and it is clear that Alfred Hitchcock is a huge influence on him. That is a bit weird for Green Lantern, in my view.

Man, so hyped when I saw that cover .

Van Sciver is okay as an artist, but I also think he's an odd fit for Green Lantern. Honestly, he is more of a horror artist. He seems to specialize in grotesque creatures and it is clear that Alfred Hitchcock is a huge influence on him. That is a bit weird for Green Lantern, in my view.

It shows a lot in some of his designs for the other Corps., especially the Red Lanterns.

Well, here is an example of what I mean. This looks like some kind of space horror thing...like Event Horizon-ish, or something like that.



Also, his work has lots of detail, but I find his figures are quite wonky some of the time, like this Kyle Rayner here. That's not supposed to look like that. His upper body is all messed up. This probably has to do with him going straight from very rough pencils right into inking. He should probably tighten up his pencils more and spend more time making sure everything is on point before he decides to lay down his inks.

Yep it's unfortunate they cancelled the titans and look where are all the characters that were in the first issue...

I honestly thought that the cancellation was going to be followed very very closely by a relaunch... Oh well.

He did great on Zods will. Speaking of that there were some great Hal and Kyle moments in that story line.
