I cannot recall a time she teleported magically and not with her mutant power. I would imagine it would be indicated on panel by the teleporter repeating an incantation (ala Pixie's "Sihal novarum chinoth")...and I do not remember if Illyana has ever done that. I could be wrong though!

I don't think she's used it on panel, but she did teach the spell to Pixie who has been shown to be on par with Nightcrawler during the "San Francisco/Utopia" era of X-Books.

I love how distinct their faces are.

Also, I'm a huge fan of chunky foot wear.

Illyana specifically has a lot of elements I'm into, while also has me editing in my mind. I'm usually a big fan of asymmetry but this is pretty busy.

I've said the same thing or at least differentiate between her teleportation mutant powers and her magic powers like they use to in the past. Now they are so mushed together cannot tell which powers she is using until after the fact

Ha, I hear you. I think I'd just ditch a buckle or two, and get rid of the "lip" on the thighs from the... socks? Boots? It's such a bold redesign, I wouldn't want to lose too much.

I wonder what her hair antenna being straight up means for Illyana? Is it like cat's tails?
