Good question, I would have to decide if I would like comics I love or covers I love. Two different things.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Yeah, for me its more characters I love. So I'm going very traditional

    Action Comics #1

    Detective Comics #27

    Amazing Fantasy #15

    Captain America Comics #1

    Predictable, but:

    Transformers #59
    Uncanny X-Men #50, #137, #189

So that's Grimlock vs the Decepticons; Lorna Dane; Scott & Jean on the moon; Magma and Rachel vs Selene
Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze, please just be there for me

I would probably go with a Barry Smith Conan cover. Something by Kirby, Fantastic Four or Thor. Or maybe Sgt Fury #16, one of my favorite Kirby covers. Steranko would be there. And last, maybe a Buscema Silver Surfer, or something by Colan. Of course there is also Ditko, especially Spider-Man #29.

Or I'd just go with the Beatles and Sgt.Pepper.

Would probably go with a theme.

Currently I have: Saga #1 (Signed by Fiona Staples), Die #1, Runaways #1 (5th Series, Alphona variant), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8 #1 framed on my wall. I rotate them out with other comics as I see fit, usually number ones or comics of sentimental/monetary value.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

    Immortal X-Men - Once & Future- X-Cellent - X-Men: Red

Well let's see, Hero Initiative has sold framed prints of comic book covers as a fund raiser at several cons I have gone to over the last couple years. The selection they offer is fairly broad though not exhaustive to be sure. But I have purchased four of those, so I will go with them...

these are pics of the actual prints...

Doctor Strange #177 by Gene Colan

    Fantastic Four #52 by Kirby...

Space Ghost 1 by Steve Rude..

    and...
