I actually liked it, even though I didn't care for the art much.
Pulls: Batman, Detective Comics, SiKtC, Catwoman, Nightwing, Titans, Godzilla, Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin, Brave and the Bold, No/One, Kill your Darlings, and Deviant.
My runs: Batman #230-, and Detective #420-
I dug the art. Had a Irving B&R feel to it.
Let's just say that this issue made Batman one of the worst titles of the year already and we're just beginning.
Gerads' art was good but he was wasted in the barebones plot.
I hated both the art AND the "writing". This was bad. This title just gets worse with every issue and that's sad. The digging into his finger with the batarang that is, for some reason, strapped to his chest until it was hooked into the bone was just ridiculous.
I've been seeing nearly everywhere that this issue is absolutely horrible. Can someone tell me why, full spoilers so I save my time?
My favorite characters of all time are Bruce Wayne and Dracula.
Honestly, it just felt like an excuse to get Gerads to make some incredibly trippy and freaky art, which to give credit was the highlight.
I do get at this point in the story its SUPPOSED to be confusing and all over the place, I just feel like there should be some more thematic progress going on. Pretty much everything that Batman talks about in the issue is stuff we already know after the past 11 issues, that he's losing his grip on reality and sanity after losing so much of his loved ones and family. Apparently this and all the other Knightmare issues are supposed to be all part of one big puzzle that will help to solve the Bane/Thomas mystery, but as it stands on its own currently, there's just not much substance other than Batman thinking about stuff we and him already know.

It's about Bruce losing his grip on what comes first his life as Bruce or his life as batman and how it's effecting him and the others and in this issue it was about his fear of Damian growing up to be like batman and never has his chance of his happiness or whatever since Bruce is absent from his life much like Thomas was absent from Bruce's life.

Apparently these issues are supposed to have a "wtf is going on?" effect. Nothing really happened in this issue, but I'll wait and see where it leads.
WTF was that.... Real trippy... Mitch killed it on the coloring tho...
