If they do reboot, it'll be to remove Cavill Superman and Affleck Batman from continuity while keeping Gadot WW and Mamoa Aquaman. Keep what's popular and get rid of what isn't. Keep in mind we still don't know what is in WW '84. It COULD be a soft reboot, it might not. I always thought a Batman who was older than the rest of the League was a bad idea to begin with and making Superman a murderer his first time out is a bad idea so it wouldn't break my heart if this universe dies.

We know nothing about The Batman movie or Gunn’s SS, but even though they will likely be officially canon, I doubt maintaining consistency with panned movies like BvS and the first SS movie will be much of a priority.
The movie makes a direct reference to Justice League though.

The MCU has tons of incongruities that don't make sense or have to be head cannoned away. People just ignore the fact that the cabal of SHIELD tried to nuke New York City in Avengers 1 and that Captain America decides to join this organization afterwards.

The Joker is an AU movie, nothing to do with the DCEU and more and more becoming apparent little to do with the comics either. Its just an artsy crime flick.

As for Aquaman no its not a reboot, they mention JL and the area where Aquaman gets his trident and the Motherbox was confirmed by both Wan and Snyder to be an Atlantean outpost.

No offense but I feel like the people suggesting Flashpoint are completely tone deaf. You want to adapt a story that casts WW and Aquaman, the two biggest success stories, as psychotic villains and sucks off a murderous Batman (which people hated), Cyborg (which would be fine for me but the GA doesn’t care about him at all), and Flash (whom GA is pretty meh towards)? That’s the dumbest idea ever. Snyder’s plans have been tossed in the toilet where they belong and the DCEU is moving forward by ignoring them whenever they want to. WW isn’t going into hiding anymore. Reeves will reboot Batman. Supes will probably be rebooted too, which is fine he needs it.

There was no big event movie to justify Ruffalo replacing Norton as Hulk. No one will care that someone new is Supes/Bats is the movie is good.

A Flash movie with Flashpoint as the main storyline? I don't think Flash is an important enough character in the DCEU to pin their hopes on using a Flash movie to reboot the DCEU. They would pretty much have to have
every DCEU character in the movie, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam, the new Superman and the new Batman. Flash would get lost in his own movie. They would be better off just going Flash his own movie like they
did with Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. And if not a Flash movie, what movie would Flashpoint make sense in?

Besides, it'd put the DCEU into the same problematic position as the DC comics are in with regards to a confusing continuity, and attempting to fix that continuity by writing a story around it. The result is that you in some way still will carry along that old continuity that you wanted to get rid of, and tell what is in all likelihood a convoluted and confusing story just to get your new continuity started.

If you want to reboot, just reboot. Or as the case will be with the DCEU: torpedo the old DCEU, let the old crappy pieces be forgotten, and work off Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

Just keep it loose. Don't go out of your way to explain things, but also don't do things that directly contridict whats comes before. I think Warner Bros is finally figuring it out. Like in the the Shazam trailers how it teases Superman and Batman being in the same world without having to hit you over the head with it. Just do that for a while and after you get things going then maybe lead up to another crossover JLA movie. No need for a full on reboot.
