I mean, I don't disagree, although saying it's true for all the spiders seems a bit of a stretch.

But I do think Gwen is a little slower on the uptake compared to other spider-heroes, but her career hasn't exactly been as sterling as Peter and Miles' has for one reason or another.

Oddly enough her Spiderverese movie version is, aside from the Gwanda moment, far and above the most mature, intelligent and level headed of the Spiders. Also a trained combatant and dancer, unlike comic Gwen being totally reliant on powers. It's like she and comic Gwen are perfect-flawed contrast Blonde and Hobo Peter are in the movie.

Or the Marvel's Spider-Man cartoon where they lean into the super-science aspect like they do with every other character on that show.

Yeah, but she's also an idiot who goes out heroing WITHOUT A MASK. And she turns into a Spider monster. Intelligent, but not very sensible.

Yeah. She thought giving Doc Ock another chance was a good idea, and that sure turned out well .

Rising Gwen seems to be the next most competent, at least in the sense that she seems to create her own gear. We see her using webwings, webshooters, drones and tracking chips without a single mention of Wasp. Given all indications she likely made these things, which is pretty damn impressive for a 15 year old.

I really don't get the sense that she made them.

Outside of the tech existing unto itself they never present her as being particularly smart or tech-savvy, so I have to imagine someone gave it to her, but they haven't clarified who.

I thought it might have been Kevin before he died but that doesn't seem to be the case. Or maybe the Rising version of Spider-Man did since they haven't confirmed one way or another whether he exists in that universe or not.

You sure? Marvel editorial seems insistent on pretending Gwen's still a teenager, to the point that solicits refer to her as a teenager, her dad comments on her not even being an adult and the people from the other dimension referring to Gwen as a 'baby' who looked barely out of high school. Comic book time has hit her hard like the rest of Marvel characters.

Gwen was 19 for most of Latour's run. Having spent a year in the slammer, she should now be 20.

She should be 21 minimum. Multiple seasons pass in Spider-Gwen, the trial took 6 months then a year in the slammer. Of course, chances are no one cares about that. The Incursion had a year long timeskip post-restoration but no one really seems to have changed at all.

Even if we go by her being 19 (even though she should be 20 or 21), that is still considered an adult, and drinking age in some places, so that's probably their cheat of making her young-ish, but still older than someone like Miles.

You have to be 21 to drink in New York. All-New Wolverine made reference to that during Civil War II, when Old Man Logan visited Laura and was disappointed to find no booze in the fridge!

We can't really count the post-incursion timeskip with 616 because time doesn't pass at the same rate between universes as shown with how a year passed in Ultimate during which Miles had quit as Spider-Man yet only a few months went by in 616 max.

Which totally contradicts Web Warriors where time passes by equally - one second here is one second in another dimension. The only difference is time period (Noir's from 1939, for example) and timezone (midnight in Gwen's place is mid-afternoon for Mayday). Time passage is the same.
