True, but we know the characters involved, the villains and the focus. So we know something of the movie, and DC's less than stellar track record.

Given that, people are at least allowed to be pessimistic about what's a comin'.

I think DC still hasn't learned its lesson about relying about it's well known characters. Cass and Huntress have pathos to their backstory, while Harley's backstory/origin has, shall we say, unfortunate implications?

Fortunately, Leto's Joker will not be appearing in the movie and Robbie has implied that Harley will no longer be in a relationship with the Joker.

They released a few promo pictures and clips, and they werent that great.

Maybe I change my mind when the trailer comes out, but sofar it looks to me like a step back in the wrong direction.

I also don't really think that BoP and Harley mix that well, a movie for Harley should be over the top, whacky and colourful, a BoP and Cass stories should be more serious. And Harley works for me generally better in comic relief role, I'm not sure if she really will work that well as the lead in a team movie.

This is my fear as well.

Frankly, nothing I've seen thus far has convinced me that DC is willing to take a chance with their lesser known properties/characters. Aquaman may have been a joke before his movie, but he was at least known.
