And the AU stories aren't even supposed to be a thing. We're just getting them because Liefeld is late with his secret X-Men event we were supposed to get. So we're getting AoX to fill in a large gap.

I really don't buy this. Everyone else getting sent away to an AU right when Scott and Logan are coming back? That's no coincidence. It's the perfect plan to have the Scott and Logan show in Uncanny for 5 months.

I hope this ends on a high note. I'm not very hopeful, because this entire arc has been a mediocre rehash of better stories from the 90s, but what can we do...

I know its been said a million times. But I am SO over Storm getting mind controlled and Manipulated lately. I mean my god shes always getting taken out by mind control/whatever. Just lazy writing imo.

The more I stare at those panels, the more I dig the lulzy tactics:

Jean: "Bishop, I guess I have to put you front and center because of the totally not obvious relationship we'll be having or whatever. I don't know, just stand really, really close to the action, but don't actually do anything useful for now."

I'll get a few months of characters I like written/drawn by creatives I like, and probably with more imaginative storytelling than they've been allowed in five years or longer. I'll take that.
