If you read Death's Head #1 this week, you might have noticed a few possible futures were shown. One of them had Wiccan, Hulkling, Ironheart, and Dani Cage Captain America on a team together. An odd combo, as Riri and Dani have never met (though Riri did meet Billy and Teddy in Unstoppable Wasp #7 - and some other futures on the same Death's Head page show other Champions members).

Considering that Dani Cage as Captain America is from the future, nebulously defined as "20XX," it would be some dramatic irony if she grew up admiring Riri/Ironheart, at least as a flip from the paradigm of Tony Stark growing up admiring Captain America in some versions of the Marvel Universe.

I would temper my expectations for what it will look like on the actual show.

Debuting. Don't forget Rising and Spider-Man both have Spider-Gwen, and that's not the same character. Ms. Marvel also appeared in Spider-Man already, and that was her Avengers Secret Wars version and not her Rising one. However, both versions of Kamala have the same VA, so it might be the same for Riri.

I wonder if they'll bring Sofia Wylie back.

You know, had she been created sooner, she could've easily been a full time cast member - that Horizon High science stuff is right up her alley!

The show barely knows what to do with it's main cast as is. She's probably better off as a guest hero.

That actually raises a good point about how confusing the continuity of the Marvel Animated Universe on Disney is. They rebooted Spider-Man after Ultimate ran its course, but the new Spider-Man (still) occupies the same continuity as the Avengers from Avengers Assemble onward, even if that continuity is somewhat nebulous following Black Panther's Quest, which was effectively a partial relaunch/reboot of Avengers Assemble that nonetheless retained most if not all the voice actors from the previous seasons/series.

It wouldn't be Marvel cartoons without wonky continuity .

Besides that, I am curious about how Riri and Peter will end up interacting in a world where they're the same age as opposed to Peter being 10+ years her senior.

Hopefully better then their dynamic under Zdarsky.

I like that they are using Midnight's Fire as a villian. I like it when they dig into the old characters who are not in use instead of just creating a new one.

Same here. It gives new(er) readers a hook to check out the older comics featuring those characters if they take a shine to them. Also, it's a sign the writer is willing to do the research into the vastness of the Marvel Universe, and that's always a plus.

In-universe, she debuted at 15 years old, and I'm not sure she's had her 16th birthday yet. She might just be too young to have really heard of that couple, separately or together.

More likely that she just doesn't pay attention to showbiz or watch their kind of movies. She's mentioned being a fan of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, remember, and that aired before she was born, so her being so young ought not to be an issue.
