Default Favorite original AOA mini series Discussion

I saw this discussion on Reddit and thought I could create one here. Original AOA was starting point for a lot of X-Men fans. Initially, I hated it, was against everything about it because it disrupted my collecting of the original titles.......but now that I’m older and much more handsomer, I definitely appreciate this mini series. Especially X-Calibre.

Generation Next. Just so tragic and horrible. Shocking really for comics of that time. Scared me when I read it but also a lot of imagination fodder.

When the diversions from the norm became the norm.

    Ellis & Lashley's X-calibre.

Agreed. X-Calibre was definitely my favorite. Love the awesome team of Ellis and Lashley.

AbnormallyNormal. Your going to make me revisit Generation Next tonight. I remember it being super good and the art was absolutely gorgeous.

Surprised with all the Cyclops fans on this board, none of them have selected Factor X. Probably because most of his fans weren’t fans of his till after 2010/2011.

Voted for Factor-X and Amazing X-Men.

Factor-X did such a good job showing what it was like to actually live as one of Apocalypse's Chosen, even the bad guys had it rough with all that duplicity. The slave and breeding pens were tragic, and Dark Beast's lab was horrific. It really sold how truly different and terrifying the AoA was for everyone involved. Plus I got my Scott/Jean fix in it, too.

Gambit and The X-Ternals. Fabian is great and he made a fun comic with good story and used cool mix of characters. Love it!
I hope Fabian will return to X books.

Crap, I voted for the wrong one b/c I got the two confused. I voted Astonishing but I meant Amazing, the one with Storm, Quicksilver, Banshee et al. Though the two were neck and neck for my favorites with X-Calibur right behind. But I thought Abyss was creepy and insane as hell vs Halocaust being a one note "I want to destroy everything" villain.
