    Default Two-for-One: The Harvey Dent (Two-Face) Appreciation Thread(s) (2019)

NOTE: This is a continuation of the previous two Two-Face appreciation threads =
    * "The Harvey Dent appreciation thread" which can be read here:and
    * "Flip of the Coin: Two-Face Appreciation Thread" which can be read here:
From the previous version(s) of this thread,
(1.) (started by RubberLotus in August 2014),
Poor, poor Harvey Dent. Last-named among Batman's allies, might-as-well-be last-named among Batman's enemies. In terms of storytelling potential, he may well be the richest cast member in Gotham. And yet, his skill-set largely limits him to cameo and supporting roles in all the big-name projects (Death of the Family, the Arkham games, etc.).

Can we hear a couple of cheers for Gotham's former White Knight?
    and
    (2.) (started by lalalei2001 in August 2016),
I searched the forum to see if we had a Two-Face thread already and couldn't find one, so... here it is! Post your favorite Two-Face moments here.

What inspired this thread was reading a really good, scary Two-Face story called "Two-Face, Too!" It was reprinted in a Batman: Arkham collection and is well worth a read.

I find it interesting how at first the character was based on pure nihilism and chance, but later got a more developed backstory, multiple personalities, and motive, and nowadays seems to switch between the personas.

I like what the Batman animated series did by eventually giving him a third personality, too.

    Two-Face: A Celebration of 75 Years
Part man and part monster, Two-Face has been one of Batman’s greatest and most fearsome villains for more than 75 years! He’s an essential part of the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery, but unlike the Joker, Scarecrow or Bane, Two-Face alone has some good left inside his soul fighting his evil persona—half the time, anyway. Chaos or order. Life or death. Tragic fallen attorney or scar-faced fiend. It all depends on how the coin falls…

Featuring stories from industry legends Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Neal Adams, Dennis O’Neil, Greg Rucka, Bruce Timm, and more, TWO-FACE: A CELEBRATION OF 75 YEARS brings you more than a dozen stories of one of Batman’s most enduring foes!

    Collects DETECTIVE COMICS #66, #68, #80, #739; BATMAN #50, #81, #234, #410-411, #572; BATMAN ANNUAL #14; THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #106; JOKER #1; SECRET ORIGINS #1; BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE #1; GOTHAM CENTRAL #10; JOKER’S ASYLUM: TWO-FACE #1; and BATMAN AND ROBIN #23.

Two-Face is an amazing character who unfortunately suffers for being too hard to write.

    Batman: Arkham: Two-Face

An unprecedented anthology of the greatest Two-Face stories ever told.

He was Harvey Dent, Gotham City’s crusading district attorney and one o the Batman’s closest allies, until an act of vengeance changed everything.

With the left side of his face horribly deformed, Dent’s mind shattered. One half of his personality remained the law-abiding D.A., the other became a crazed, murderous villain who calls himself Two-Face! Scarring one side of his “lucky” two-headed silver dollar, the criminal allows the coin to choose his actions—good or evil, there is nothing else.

BATMAN ARKHAM: TWO-FACE collects work by some of the industry's greatest creators, including Peter Tomasi (BATMAN AND ROBIN), Curt Swan (SUPERMAN), Denny O’Neil (BATMAN), Bill Finger (DETECTIVE COMICS), Scott McDaniel (THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD), Guillem March (GOTHAM CITY SIRENS) and many more!

    Includes DETECTIVE COMICS #66, #68, #80, #513, #563, #564; BATMAN #234, #346, #397-98, #410, #411; BATMAN AND ROBIN #23.1; WORLD’S FINEST #173; BATMAN TWO-FACE #1; JOKER’S ASYLUM TWO-FACE #1; BATMAN CHRONICLES #8.

So far, my favorite depiction of Harvey Dent (Two-Face) came from Loeb/Sale's The Long Halloween.

O'Neil and Adams bring Two-Face out of limbo and make Harvey an A-List Villain in BATMAN #234.
