Hal Jordan with GL ring vs. Bird Box entity

In the new horror movie Bird Box, the antagonist is some demonic force that can hijack people's free wills and cause them to commit suicide. Green Lanterns are chosen to receive the ring because of their extraordinary willpower, and no GL has greater willpower than Hal Jordan. Can Hal with a fully charged power ring resist the Bird Box entity?

I would imagine so.

Twice, the cast members managed to resist the influence, if just briefly. First Oylmpia manages to fight through it to hand off her baby. Later, Tom manages to eliminate all threats before succumbing.

Hal has WAY better willpower and a weapon capable of auto protecting his life.

Should be pointed out it was a book in 2014. I guess Netflix decided making a movie due to Quiet Place.
