I'd say the Marvel trinity is Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hulk

Spider-Man is Clark Kent's goofy aw shucks nature if it weren't an act, but he tried to be a hero anyway.

Iron Man is Bruce Wayne's playboy nature if it weren't an act, but he tried to be a hero anyway.

Hulk is Shazam's nature as a child given unlimited power portrayed more realistically, yet he generally tries to be a hero despite more realistic child personality flaws.

Marvel doesn't actually have female member who can even loosely be called a trinity member, but they are certainly trying hard lately.

I feel like Ironman, Cap, and Thor were the closest, but Captain Marvel is a push. Now, we know that the movie is selling tickets, so it might be working better than we thought.

That being said, I prefer Carol alongside the other three than replacing anyone.

Marvel only has one trinity, and it's Jack, Stan, and Steve.

Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

    Well, that wins this argument.

I always thought the big three of Marvel were Ironman, Captain America, and Thor. They seem to bring the most to the Marvel universe. They have been on pretty much every line up of The Avengers. Most heroes look up to Captain America and love Thor. I remember during the JLA/Avengers crossover everyone was ganging up on Thor and The Avengers response was "Not Thor, never Thor." Or something like that.

The DC "trinity" is a concept introduced a long time after the characters involved were created.
Marvel never needed such concepts but at some point (and for inane reasons imo) they decided to appropriate the concept and create their own "trinity". If you go by the Avengers as an analogue to the Justice League, Marvel "trinity" is meant to be composed by Cap, Iron Man and Thor as the backbone of the Avengers. If you go by the "most popular heroes Marvel has" then it is Spider Man, Hulk and Wolverine.

No women unfortunately. The most important and popular Marvel superheroine was Storm but she was too tied to the x-men franchise and was never built into a WW equivalent, even when she was more popular than WW among comic book fans (but not as well known iin the mainstream).

Marvel doesn't need an answer to DC's Trinity.

If anything, Marvel's trinity of heroes dating back to the Golden Age would be:

    Captain America! Human Torch! Sub-Mariner!

Thing is with Marvel, I think their more team-centric franchises tend to be the bigger hitters then the solo characters, Spider-Man being one of the notable exceptions. I don't know if they have a comparable trinity, but I don't think its based around "three male characters, one female." Also agree that they don't really have a female standout a la Wonder Woman yet (although Captain Marvel and Black Widow might crack that if their solo movies do well, like how Iron Man became a superstar because of the movies).
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

    Especially since 3 male characters + 1 female = 4 characters.

and recognized as such even back in the 90's "Avengers - United They Stand" cartoon, where those three appeared at the top of intro splash screen even though Cap and Iron Man made only a single guest appearance each.

My God, I know we complain about the current crop of Marvel cartoons, but that Avengers cartoon was so, so bad. Why was everyone wearing a robot suit?

Marvel doesn't have a trinity the same way DC does.

DC's greatest heroes in-universe and in the real world are the same guys. Marvel's biggest heroes in universe and in actual popularity aren't the same thing. Spider-man and Hulk are two of Marvel's most popular and most famous heroes but in-universe people aren't always happy to see them when they show up.
