I was most interested in seeing Mysterio. How would they make it modern and hip? I was so happily surprised. Marvel just keeps pushing the boundaries as to what is 'adaptable' on screen. I am excited.

how do you know too much teenage hijinks and Ironman reliance if you didn't see the film. You just going off a 90 second trailer?

The confirmation that they will not be back pedaling on Aunt May seeing him in costume at the end of Homecoming pleases me greatly.

Flash doesn't know though, so the accords obviously aren't forcing him to reveal his identity that publicly.

I would like to think those elemental monsters were Sandman and Hydroman but Mysterio is the villain here. It's likely a flashy disaster of his own making invoking those characters as a mythology gag.

It was cool to see Mysterio finally on the big screen. However, ugh, I know I will be in the minority or accused of being a naysayer before the movie is dropped but my favorite part of the trailer was him IN NEW YORK CITY!!! I'm still not understanding what ppl in charge don't get about NYC being part of Spidey's character. He needs to be in a movie with him strictly in NYC (Manhattan, I'll even taken Brooklyn thanks to miles) solving issues in NYC.

my friends and I were talking about this the other day and how much we love Spider-Man PS4. They need to adapt that game into a movie and it would be the perfect movie which incidentally had the perfect Mysterio cameo lol.

Anyway, I'll still probably see it.

Seeing a hero work in a settings he's not familiar with has its appeal. Like how is he going to get around in a place where the buildings ain't high enough to swing from. Being taken out of his element could be a lot of fun.

They are a group of 4 called the Elementals. There is a fire and wind one in addition to the Earth and Water ones that seemed like Sandman and Hydroman.

But its definitely a possibility that they will be rewritten as just Mysterio's creations/illusions and be a mythology gag, just for far more obscure characters than Sandman and Hydroman.

Or they could be actual villains that are secretly working with Mysterio. Either way I'm sure he's pulling the old "make myself look like a hero for fame," trick.

I'm guessing it'll be a bit like Homecoming, which, although it utilized several Spider-man foes, it managed to largely avoid the problems of Spider-Man 3 and Amazing 2 by pretty much making the other villains henchmen (Shocker, Tinkerer) or cameos (Scorpion).

Plus we’ve already had 5 films of him strictly being in NYC. I’m not against Peter being in NYC but I don’t mind that the MCU is taking him out of there either.

Looks like Aunt May's helping out the homeless, similar to BND (and also used in the PS4 game). Also getting some Casino Royale deja vu from the looks Peter and MJ gave each other on the boat.

I really love the updated spider-man theme used in the trailer.
