"Never assign to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity or ignorance."
"Great stories will always return to their original forms"
"Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable." James Baldwin
He pitched it.
It's not splitting hairs. They closed the book on the push at the end of IVX. There were no more new inhumans. Marvel cancelled every inhuman book at that time and started other series that lasted one run. DoI was written as a separate thing that had nothing to do with almost everything that was established. They didn't really close anything. They just cancelled all books after the DoI mini series.
But they were still pushing the Inhumans. We had an Inhumans title launching out of IVX. They didn't close the book on the franchise until Royals got cancelled and they did DOI.
Look, we're probably not gonna agree on this, just like people on here told me that it wasn't true and that we'd totally get more Inhumans stuff spinning out after DOI, but I think the evidence speaks for itself. Like I said, it was what, November when it ended? It's July now and the characters are still on ice. That's not a coincidence. There's a reason the series uses the allegory of the fall of Rome and ends on that note.
Just because the had books doesn't mean it was a push. With that logic, anyone who has a book is being pushed. They ended the inhumanity era (the Terrigen Cloud) at the end of IVX. That means that they weren't going to release anything with new characters. That closed there. They had other books, good. They should always have books. DoI was just a cancellation of any series with the characters in Inhuman and Uncanny Inhumans. I'm not denying that they didn't cancel their books. Everyone knows that. The Rome things doesn't mean anything. They cancelled the books and Cates is rushing to write them again for that quote to mean anything.
All I know is, I was disappointed by DOI, but have to admit that it left the Royals in an interesting place. I wouldn't mind reading about Black Bolt, Medusa and their family and them recovering from the blow that was dealt to their family and their race. I would hate it even more if future books were to gloss over this event entirely and just pretend it never happened.
When you imply "push" it's like we're being forced to buy 2 inhuman books against our will. There were meant to be two books remaining. It appears it didn't work so they cancelled them and someone volunteered to write a book about killing the universal inhumans Hickman created before the "push", as well as two key characters for pretty much no reason. I don't see the consistancy. They're gone now and might only get one shots in the future, so don't worry about them being "pushed" upon anyone anymore.
That's not what a push is.
Okay, you've been taking this personally for some reason (such as getting upset at me saying it was a push or that DOI was related to that), and now this, and you really shouldn't. It's not that big a deal. They're gone now and might only get one shots in the future, so don't worry about them being "pushed" upon anyone anymore.
Death of the Inhumans was uncultured torture porn at best. It frankly sucked.
I'm not taking it personal and I'm not upset. Please don't read it like that. I'm just stating the fact that you've been saying that any inhuman book is part of a push that was unjustly forced upon readers because inhumans fans don't exist or something. And insinuating that the push was a bad thing. I know you're not responsible for what Marvel publishes, you're just a reader and we're discussing how some people perceived the direction the inhumans franchise went. It ended way before DoI. DoI was the final nail in the coffin.
Please stop saying I'm upset. We're not dealing with emotions here. From what I gathered, you weren't fond of what they were doing during Inhumanity and you wanted it to end and you saw DoI as an end to all off the new inhumans story and a reset. I saw it differently. Let's just drop it. This is an appreciation thread.
That mostly seems like projecting onto me rather than what I’ve written. But agreed, back on topic.

Now that we've seen Crystal's gameplay video a couple of weeks ago, who do you think is the voice actress behind Crystal for MUA3?
