They’d be better off just having it as an ongoing quarterly issued comic.
No need then to have it all done within 12 issues and plenty of time between issues to get things done in time.
Reliving my second childhood.... Making my TPB's take a back seat.....I'm now a new DC Omnibus and Hard Bound Book Collector: Batman: The Golden Age Omni V1 / Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo Vol. 2 / Gotham Central Omni / Justice League of America Silver Age Omni's V1 & V2 / Superman: The Golden Age Omni V1/ Green Lantern Omni V1
with many more purchases soon to come.....
Not surprising...
Johns has sorta lost some of his power at DC, and King has has been gaining power.
Johns is further along in his career and King is still rising.
Doomsday Clock is reportedly supposed to bring back JSA and Legion, TPTB don't care for either one of those properties.
Heroes in Crisis could eliminate more characters TPTB doesn't like.
Doomsday Clock is supposed to be the culmination of Rebirth and restore some of the hope that has been lost.
Heroes in Crisis panders to torture porn, which is TPTB's favorite genre.
I really can't imagine which of the two would be asked to rewrite and accommodate the other.

Where's that thing about rewrites coming from? This is the first time I've heard about it.
The endgame of Doomsday Clock was supposed to be Superman getting Dr. Manhattan to restore the ten years of lost time he(?)stole. Somehow this would bring back the JSA and LoSH.If ten years of history are restored there would probably be changes to the timeline.
Two of the characters involved in the Heroes in Crisis storyline are Wally West and Booster Gold. So far HiC is very unpopular and there doesn't really seem to be a good way for resolving that mess. I will not be surprised if DC decides to use time travel as a plot device to resolve that debacle and time travel usually affects continuity.
DC has been criticized for a while about the lack of continuity in the current setting and both events have potential to solve that problem. The real question is if there will be a complete reboot or a partial one and how soon the reboot happens.
Is this a documented FACT or more of a generalization / opinion?
I'm not reading it, but the first few issues of Heroes in Crisis have seemed to generate decent numbers so far based on orders placed by comic book shops with Diamond (according to the Diamond "Top 500 Comic Books" lists).* December 2018: no issue shippedIssue #4 didn't ship until January 2nd (2019), and #5 is due out January 30th.
* Nov. 2018 = 8th - HEROES IN CRISIS #3 - 83,794 copies
* Oct. 2018 = 6th - HEROES IN CRISIS #2 - 88,547 copies
* Sept. 2018 = 2nd - HEROES IN CRISIS #1 - 140,699 copies

I’m not flummoxed by it at all really. Sure, I’d love the issues to come out more quickly, but they’ve all been solid so far and interesting, so I’m okay with the delays.
Whatever happens and how soon it happens with the JSA or Legion, I’ll sort out all the continuity in my head. ::shrugs shoulders:: I rather the story be good, and what it should be, and not rushed just for the sake of getting it out. Obviously, YMMV, but I tend to err with the creatives and the content they’re developing on this point.
