Marvels Most Controversial Moments

I’ve seen one or two discussion all about divisive parts of Marvel history and sort of wanted to create a little hub to talk through as many of them as possible. This is Marvel over the years, too, so some of these decisions might have paid off later down the line.
There’s many in the modern era (Miles Morales, Civil War, OMD, Cyclops, legacy characters)
But we can go even further back with things such as the death of Gwen Stacy etc.

So what do you think are some of Marvela most controversial moments? Do you think they actually worked out for the better? Was it worth the risk but ultimately failed? Or was it just plain stupid and should be forgotten?

I thought Avengers 200 where Carol gave birth to the guy who raped her seemed pretty darn controversail... but there was no internet back then so the backlash can't really be gauged in the same way it can now.

Avengers Disassembled with making Scarlet Witch evil cause children and being a mom was pretty bad and controversial. The sexism burned brightly with that.
