Wish they would carry those moves over into the comics, whenever he shows up again. The new costume is one of the greatest Falcon has had to date I think.

Because he was Cap's sidekick and the audience surrogate. When they aged him up, they added Ms. Marvel to the team as the new teenage audience surrogate.

I don't remember him feeling like much of an audience surrogate to be honest. I think they aged him up to better match the movies (like they usually do when they reboot a character).

That they did. But it meant they needed a new kid appeal character, so enter Kamala.

You say he didn't feel like an audience surrogate, well, that's in the execution I guess. He was certainly intended as such prior to the age up and team expansion.

the upgraded magnetic shield Tony made for Steve but was never used in the movie would be perfect for Sam to have he wouldn't need Cap's super strength throw the shield hard enough dish out damage and he could control it pull back to him when he is in mid flight and could do more crazy ricochet shield throw like from the comics
