Now that Doom Patrol has shown Vic's upper body, in addition to YJ:O, it seems safe to assume that he's going to look more of man going forward. It was great seeing him have flesh-tone upper arms and not being completely metal.

Now we just need the comics to catch up...again.

I seriously don’t get the desire to portray Vic as a head on a robot body. He looks really good in Young Justice and in Doom Patrol because they remembered that Vic isn’t just a robot with a human face.

In Marv Wolfman Teen Titans run he always wore clothes no matter what. Modern writers just can't do the simplest things with this character and its annoying.

I never realized those where clothes, I thought they were part of his cybernetics. Looking at the design now, it makes it EVEN MORE perplexing why they made him almost completely robotic. -sigh- Well optimism, hopefully with the good reception of Doom Patrol and based on some of the JL: Odyssey covers, they'll start putting effort into humanizing Cyborg's design more.

He wore clothes in a couple of issues of the Semper run. When he went on a date with Variant and when he visited Blue in the jazz club I believe. Unfortunately that was probably the only time.

Maybe, but there is so much that they are ignoring about that design that it's a poor allusion if that's what they are going for. They leave off the bright blues and whites and even that version had some flesh/flesh tones incorporated into it. Also, if they are trying to spark tat version in mind, that would mean they considered that character's popularity but made zero effort it imbue him with the humor and charisma that made people like him. It makes DC seem more incompetent to me, I would rather they "don't see color/race" and are just that oblivious in their handling of the character and his design.
