Sadly, if Brown was a rapist, he would''ve got what he wanted.
Given Brown's antics listed above and his actions now (he filed another grievance...so more missed pracrices folks) ...if he's not a locker room cancer then what does he have to do to be one ? Because hell in reading that above it sounds like an egotistical **** behavior who put himself before the team repeatedly .

Ben Rothlisberger is no saint either. But honestly him taking blame for this guys behavior is silly. Antonio Brown is a locker room cancer. The Raiders are now discovering just how damn bad its gonna get.

Brown has his own issues, but the fact that he's causing problems in Oakland doesn't somehow mean that the Steelers were right to let go of him or that they won't continue to have problems as there are no shortage of toxic locker room influences even with Brown and Bell gone.
Even a lot of Steelers homers despise Ben. Some guy named Bradshaw has publically said he has nothing nice to say about him, unless he has changed his tune since then.

Bradshaw was one of his most vocal critics for just the motorcycle accident and how riding without a helmet was stupid from a personal responsibility standpoint and a responsibility to your teammates standpoint... when you get to the multiple sexual assaults... yeah, that doesn't strike me as something Terry would rally behind Ben for.

As far as the Steelers paying people ; lets examine the Pittsburgh Steelers as a whole before Antonio Brown suited up for them. Want to know the history of the Steelers when it came to keeping star players who demanded bigger salaries. Well here goes...

Franco Harris - Franco was and is an ICON in Pittsburgh. He had the biggest play in history of that franchise and was considered a work horse for years. His name even summed up the Steelers as a whole...FRANCO HARRIS. Yet after a decade of being a Hall of Famer ; Harris wanted a new contract. The Steelers ownership refused to budge on it given his age (33/34) and he was cut in training camp ! Franco would finish a final season with the Seahawks .

Neil O'Donnell - O'Donnell led the Steelers to the Super Bowl in 1990's as QB. Yet the Steelers really didn't seem to make much of a push to keep him. In fact they made an offer to him but were beaten out by the NY Jets.

Bruce Arians - Arians was pushed to go into retirement as the Steelers organization wanted him to retire so he told them he would , well he didn't and took the Colts job. The Steelers tried saying his system led to Rothlisberger taking too much hits . (A fact Arians system was deeper routes etc)

Todd Haley - Arians was replaced by Todd Haley who spent a few seasons worrying if he'd be around the next season. His clashing with Rothlisberger became a constant deal. But it was Haley's system where Big Ben became a better QB. With quicker reads and getting rid of the ball. After so many successful seasons the organization listened to Rothlisberger who wanted Haley gone.

James Harrison - Harrison had had good and bad moments with Steelers. He returned and even at an older age was the best LB the team had. He was told his final season he'd be splitting time and soon watched as he barely saw the field. Harrison wanted released weeks in but had to wait nearly til the whole season was over til the Steelers honored his request. Then they got angry he signed with New England.

So this is just a few stories here of former players and coaches the Steelers really didn't care to push away etc. So what makes Brown and Bell feel special given what we have seen ?

The difference is that times have changed and players have a lot more leverage than they used to, so while teams like the Steelers can just try to tell them to shut up and go sit in a corner, it will seem more out of touch and they'll get more pushback from the media and public than in the past. What I don't get is why anybody in this day and age would support treating players like disposable chattel, because at the end of the day no matter how big of a Steelers fan you are, it's the players that you are there to watch not the team logo.

Then explain the New England Patriots who have for 20+ seasons moved players out with trades , releases or just letting them go . Antonio Brown became a locker room cancer and distraction. He was doing crazy **** in 2018 and while the team was losing he didn't care it seems. So the Steelers decided he had to go. This isn't the Steelers fault , players who become distractions get traded a lot.

Lets be clear here...Ben Rothlisberger didn't make him skip a practice last year or decide to instead of going to see a doctor as Tomlin believed he was ; to show up online in a pool having a good time.

NE is known for being more mercenary with transactions than most other teams, so anyone who is there is already aware that their monetary value is directly tied to what Bill thinks your value to the team is, modified by how much leverage you have in contract negotiations. That said, he has a maximum he is willing to pay, and if you insist you are worth more than that, the door is right over there.

On the plus side, players that have earned his respect and are going to be cut are often cut early to give them a better chance of hooking up with a new team. This season, for example, the Pat's have released a WR early (at his request) and just let their punter go earlier today. In the latter case, there is a new rookie who is 800K cheaper and locked up for 4 seasons as opposed to merely 1, and the guy has nearly a full second of extra hang time over the player he is replacing.

Bill is not really all that better at drafting than other coaches, but what sets him apart is how quickly he is willing to admit a mistake and move on - typically a full season sooner or more than other coaches.

Be ready for their fans to sadly report people still wear Ray Rice jerseys... it's... Why Your Team Sucks: The Baltimore Ravens

Drew Magary: "John Harbaugh fired Marty Mornhinweg after that loss to the Chargers. To replace him, he hired … Jesus H. Christ are you kidding me, he hired Greg Roman? That’s like trading in hemorrhoids for an anal fissure! This is the same Greg Roman who gifted Harbaugh a Super Bowl title with his horrendous playcalling in Super Bowl 47. I guess John felt obligated to return the favor."
Kevin: "Because the fanbase is just going to turn on Lamar Jackson and complain about losing Joe Flacco, a QB they didn’t want anyway."
Luke: "Our secondary, which is supposed to be one of the best in the league, consists of a guy who flipped the bird at his own team, a run stopper who can’t cover a receiver with a wet blanket, the most overpaid nickel back in the league, a guy who tears his ACL every year, a bunch of no-name late-round picks, OBJ’s bitch, and something called a Marlon Humphrey.

Oh, and we have no pass rushers for our blitz-happy defensive coordinator to work with. I can’t wait for our defense to give up a 90-yard touchdown when Wink Martindale tries to call a Cover 0 blitz on the Browns."
Frank: "The Ravens fan base suffered through some of the worst starting QBs the league has ever seen (Stoney Case, Scott Mitchell, Eric Zeier, Elvis Grbac, Chris Redman, Kyle Boller and plenty of other journeymen, has-beens and never-weres). After drafting Flacco in 2008 Donny from Dundalk couldn’t stop complaining on 105.7 that Joe wasn’t a leader and would never be a winner because he didn’t have his WRs over for a catch during the Spring and Summer, even though his cast of WRs changed ever year."
Joe: "John may be the better Harbaugh, but that’s like saying colon is a better cancer than prostate."

Ben Rothlisberger is no saint for sure and yeah his off field issues are a big problem I agree. Yet whenever he does show up for practice and to play , he's there. He even gave the Steelers warning he wouldn't attend OTA's and nearly was gonna retire early (they convinced him to come back). But in every case its clear Rothlisberger as big an ass as he is as QB demanding people follow him etc , he actually shows up to produce.

Brown completely lost it in 2018. From skipping practice , to suddenly telling his coach he was gonna go get treated medically and instead decided to go sit in a pool and post on social media. To telling people he didn't care if they lost as long as he hit his numbers.

Its not Ben Rothlisberger's fault for the behavior of someone acting like an ass as we saw or a cancer. Its like blaming Troy Aikman in 1990's for the behavior of Michael Irvin or Tom Brady for Randy Moss who pushed himself out of New England in 2011. None of those guys are at fault for someones behavior. Again Rothlisberger maybe an ******* in locker room but he didn't make Brown do all this.

I kind of think you're missing the point. It's not a blame game.

Ex-Steelers that were once loved have stated Big Ben is a locker-room cancer and Tomlin let's the boys police themselves. When Ben wanted you gone, you were gone.

Ben thinks he's the sole reason Brown got those big numbers and Brown thinks he helped get Ben those numbers. Same is true of Bell.

Brown wanted to get paid, Tomlin and owners listened to Ben and let Brown walk. Same for Bell.

It's very much like the Earl Thomas vs. Seattle situation. Mr. Ciara couldn't handle the feedback from his teammates and pushed Thomas and others out.

You don't see guys like Brady or Manning dressing down their #1 WR or RB, in fact, those two often advocated for better pay/more time for their best targets (Gronk, Pathon, Garcon, Wayne, Harrison, Welker, Eddelman, Moss).

Brown stands the better chance of still having a career with wins.

I do agree he needs to shut up. He's not a cancer but he is a distraction. He's yet to show that he's molding the locker room around himself, unlike Ben.
