All it cost the Raiders was a 3rd and 5th. And $50M.

And the Raiders traded Amari Cooper because?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Surf won because it was an easy call, I can after all boil water. Only thing in error is that he's a VEGA$ Raider.

I mean this only happened to Terrell Owens what, 3 times after he left Dallas? Dude got exactly what he asked for.

Brown will have to really do huge to justify the deal. The Raiders are needing offensive stars since Gruden shipped the younger , cheaper Cooper out. For that contract Brown will have to lift the Raiders offense to new heights. The Raiders have draft ammo and can upgrade elsewhere now.

They were rebuilding and got a first. They spent nothing on AB and they will not be contending while the full effect of that contract is on the books.. honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they just wanted a big name to sell tickets using the transition while they were building

I wouldn't say they spent nothing, they gave a guy who proved to at least partially be locker room cancer a 20 million dollar raise. At least Cooper was price controlled for 2/3rds of the length of Antonio Brown's contract. If the Raiders are looking to spend money, there are probably much better ways to spend it than on Antonio Brown.

As our token Raider fan, I'm kinda shocked we didn't have to give up any of our firsts nor our second for him. Godzilla only knows how things will work in the long run but on paper not too bad for Mayock's first trade in the NFL...

The question now is this: Do they go for Bell?
Captain, in Order to build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down... And that makes enemies.

    NFL News

    - Kansas City decided to go cheap at RB and sign Carlos Hyde as a FA to a 1 year deal. The deal is basically depth as the Chiefs have the 2 Williams on the roster and now Hyde. Plus likely will bring in another RB come draft time or undrafted.

    - Once KC admitted they are willing to trade Dee Ford if teams are interested the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers have started to push to get Ford. KC has said they would take a 2nd for Ford. But given how both teams are hot for Ford they may end up seeing who gives the best offer for him.

    - Sean Lee will return to the Dallas Cowboys next season. Lee reworked his contract on half of what was due but incentives if healthy and playing could push it to $7+ million again. Lee has battled injuries and the Cowboys brought him back for loyalty reasons as they did Jason Witten.

    - The LA Chargers cut their starting safety Jahleel Addae and bragged up in the release what a great player he was for them and leader in the locker room. That this was a tough release which saves them $6+ million in cap room. Addae joins a very crowded safety position in free agency with the following names out there : Earl Thomas, Landon Collins, Tyrann Mathieu, Lamarcus Joyner, Adrian Amos and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Logically they go for Bell. That frees up their draft for picking defense primarily and maybe O-line and another wideout.

Chiefs released LB Justin Houston this afternoon. Attempts to trade him found no takers for his salary, so they cut him.

And the Raiders make another trade, sending 2-time Pro Bowl guard Keleche Osemele to the Jets in a swap of late round picks. Osemele was set to earn $20 million over the next two seasons.

It was expected as I posted a week or two ago. Houston's age (30/31) , his injury issues (he has missed games the last few seasons) , and pay was not gonna work out. Plus the Chiefs are moving to a new 4-3 defense and Houston's role was gonna end. Its why Dee Ford could end up out. Unless he does the hybrid DE role on this.
