Gase's first act as GM was to trade former 2016 1st round pick, LB Darron Lee to the Chiefs for a 2020 6th round pick. They had declined Lee's fifth year option, and had tired to trade him during ht draft as he had become expendable after the Jets signed C.J. Mosely.

Its said Pioli is looking at other jobs and he once worked for the Jets at one time from 1997-2000. So he maybe on his way there as GM.

So... the good news is that Peterson's PED was a supplement he got bad medical advice about taking, and was looking to take because his Type II Diabetes was making him feel sluggish, like he did during parts of the 2015 season. So it's not like he was on horse steroids or anything that would get him a huge PR hit...

Here's the bad news... after he took it, he claims he discovered after taking that supplement that it would pop him on his drug test. So he took a masking agent. And it didn't work. But now he's been busted trying to cover up what he claims was an innocent mistake, right? Can the news get any weirder on this?

For whatever reason, upon learning that he would be facing a six game ban, Patrick Peterson thought the Cardinals should renegotiate his contract on the fly, because he didn't want to lose $4-6 million in salary and bonuses.

Pro-Tip for Peterson... popping positive on a drug test for any reason isn't a good position of strength to demand ANYTHING from your team. The same team you demanded a trade from around Week 7 of last year, and then apologized for doing so a few weeks later. Just... f***, dude... fire your PR people.

Hmmm, Nick Bosa already injured and going to miss time with a hamstring strain. I questioned a team picking him with a high pick because of his lack of durability, and as the old saying goes the best availability in the NFL is availability. I firmly believe Bosa will spend more time on the IR or inactive on game day because of injuries than he will on the active roster and playing during the course of his (injury-shortened) career.

Meant to post this a few days ago. Anyhow in NFL News , Roger Goodell said the league is waiting on the police investigation into Tyreek Hill to determine what happens next. The same way the Chiefs themselves are waiting on that to finish as well.

Bet old Howie could still stymie some of the O-lines in the league today

Bart Starr has the big post-season winning percentage in NFL history. In fact his record is 9-1 . His only loss is as a rookie starting a playoff game. So he basically the rest of his career never lost a playoff game.

There must've been some random guys in NFL history who started just one game and won.

In funny weird NFL news and how things happen. Gerald McCoy (DT) has been trying to start a bidding war of sorts between the Cleveland Browns & Baltimore Ravens. This kinda failed as neither team would budge up over the $9+ million they offered this season. McCoy is visiting the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals next trying to get a team to start a bidding war for his services it seems.

Now what makes this funny is Ndamuong Suh was signed by Tampa Bay (McCoy's former team) and given $10 million for the season. Suh himself is returning to Florida to play after a season away. Where he earned $60+ million guaranteed money for 3 seasons with Miami. His deal at one time in 2015 was so insanely stupid its said the only reason Detroit and Oakland didn't match that same offer then was due to the fact Florida has a lax state tax plan which allowed Dolphins to get by with that offer.

If the Lions or Raiders wanted Suh ; Detroit would have had to pay $64.5+ million in guaranteed money to Suh to equal that. Oakland would have had to give $70.1+ million comically. Its no shock both teams said NO.
