The Eagles held franchise quarterback Carson Wentz out of their preseason opener against Tennessee, perhaps out of fear of injury, going with backup Nate Sudfeld, so, guess what happened? Yep, he got hurt late in the first half, suffering a broken left wrist (he passes with his right). OUCH! Reports after the game from head coach Doug Pederson said Sudfeld's injury wasn't season ending and could be out six to eight weeks after surgery which will probably be today. As for who backs up Wentz, that job now falls on journeyman Cody Kessler and rookie Clayton Thorson, it looks like the team won't look to add a passer.
