So I just finished reading Superior Carnage & the annual.
Most Carnage stories kick ass but I found Superior Carnage to be a let down. Plot started off okay but the Frightening Four villains were just lame.
That being said, the annual however is awesome.
Do you guys think that the symbiote or Cletus makes carnage? I’m asking because technically the original carnage symbiote is dead and what Cletus is wearing right now is a fragment of the Grendel symbiote.
I prefer the original non-Negative Zone Carnage Symbiote (longtime fans of the character will understand) but to each their own.
"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
Long story made short, Venom in the late 1990s "ate" Carnage's symbiote, making Cletus Kasady a normal human once more. Cletus tried to make do with painting himself red, but a trip to the Negative Zone with Spider-Man in Webspinners #13-14 (which also saw Spider-Man somehow wearing the suit from Spider-Man Unlimited, the then-recent cartoon) saw Kasady bond with a new symbiote identical to the "original" Carnage symbiote. After a few years, though, starting in Venom vs. Carnage by Peter Milligan and Clayton Crain, Carnage was treated as if his current symbiote was (the same as) the original, and the Webspinners story arc was more-or-less quietly forgotten. A running theory is that the original Carnage symbiote's cells somehow merged with and absorbed the new Carnage symbiote to reconstitute itself, though this has never been confirmed.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Thanks for the explanation. Haven't read that story yet.
Anybody else excited for the upcoming Web Of Venom: Cult Of Carnage? I really would love to see Donny Cates write a full on Carnage series. (It seems that what Carnage Born could be leading up to.) I know people aren't happy with his current Venom work but I'm absolutely loving it.

Haven't tackled Carnage Classic yet.
I've read, Mind Bomb, It's A Wonderful Life, Axis, USA, Vs Deadpool, Family Feud, Carnage v2, Vs Venom, Born, & Superior Carnage.
Still have to tackle Classic, Minimum, and Maximum Carnage. (though I am familiar with the Max Carn storyline).
I heard there is a Death Of Carnage but don't know what comics it's actually in.
Sheesh, the price of Carnage Mind Bomb is sky rocketing. Wish I would of had the money to pick up a copy back when it was only 40$
So ABSOLUTE CARNAGE has officially began, I'm loving it so far. The FCBD intro was awesome!
Just wanted to share some of my favorite Carnage moments, which essentially come from his first apperances in ASM:
Loved how Carnage and Venom totally ripped each other apart in their appearances:
Pretty floored when I saw this as well:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
