What do you think?
DC only shipped 3 weeks worth of comics. And they did not squeeze everything into three weeks, the 4th week was held back for January which will have 5 weeks. Note that there was no Action Comics in December, only one Detective, Flash, etc.
DC will be back up to 75 books (by my count) in January (again, 5 weeks.) Someone would have to do a check of all the 4 week/5 week averages to see just what if anything might be changing.
December is usually a slow month since it's the end of the year, and it wasnt even a full month. DC skipped a week because of Christmas and New Years.
Weird article and certainly with an agenda.
If you offer fewer items to sell, you will sell fewer items.
Makes sense to me.

Marvels craziness drove me away from there monthly books a long time ago
and than D C received the same medicine when I realized there shenanigans
would not end soon enough.
I just buy soft and hard cover collected books to get my comic reading fix
Misleading, it should be "Publishing" half the amoun they used to. $3.99 for comic books is pretty high in my opinion. I don't buy a lot of books, but I'm right on the border of it being cheaper for me to get them thorugh DCBS then my LCS. I hesitate becuase I can't see the variant covers at the time of pre-order on DCBS and I like supporting my local comic shop.
Pulls: Batman, Detective Comics, SiKtC, Catwoman, Nightwing, Titans, Godzilla, Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin, Brave and the Bold, No/One, Kill your Darlings, and Deviant.
My runs: Batman #230-, and Detective #420-
This article is just more "The sky is falling!" nonsense...
Just more clickbait from Rich.
I know people above have said it's more of a publishing thing, but I still wanna say, "Good. Maybe they'll stop killing characters the moment they ran out of idea or trying to attract attention." If it's not now then I'll just say it later. That opinion's not gonna change as long as they still do it.

THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
I think to a point you have to get to a point of control.
Why folks will say yeah more Batman books but at what cost?
How much bigger will that dollar bin of Batman books be? Yes everybody Batman goes into bins at a large and faster rate than certain Marvel books.
I don't see Ms Marvel unsold books take up 10 rows of bins or even overflow to the floor of a store like I have see Batman has done.
Then if you look at say Amazon trade sales from time to time. I said elsewhere 15 of the top 20 DC trades for Super Heroes were Batman. Marvel had Peter, Miles, Ms marvel, Carol, Cho Hulk, Deadpool, GOTG, Bruce Banner, Jane Foster, old school Thor, X-Men & Black Panther.
Why do 4 Batman books a month when you can make ONE double size Batman book a month. Either do a complete story or do two different ones. If someone wanted only one story-they can wait for the trade of that one storyline.
You have to take into consideration folks have BUDGETS.
And if you want folks to give books like New Age Heroes a shot don't make them choose between 4 Batman books and something else.
Or you treat some series like a tv show.
I think Wally West fans would not mind a 6 issue run a year. Then let say Bart take the other 6 or do 3 issue runs for Bart & that other Wally.
At least then you have time to review and get feedback for that 6 issue run and you help folk's budgets.
Or lets see some one shots-I'll settle for one with Cyborg then Manhunter then Blue Beetle and so on. So you are not wasting time and shelf space with series that might not make 6 issues.
