So the intended reaction is for fans to think it’s even dumber to have killed the OG version of a character only to replace him with some weakass teen version? If so, mission accomplished here.

Having said that...doesn’t that make him just as sentimental and ineffective as his older version?
I liked that scene. Kid Cable isn't perfect and his mentality shows his age. At first I completely rejected him but he's growing on me. I'm hoping for more interactions with his father but Major X looks like it'll bring Original Cable's Return.

I hope you’re right about Major X brining back OG Cable. Kid Cable is not growing on me at all. And never will. At this point I’m rooting for Stryfe to just kill the abomination, reveal that he is indeed the real Nathan Summers and not the clone, repent and join X-Force. I’d prefer that to this skinny Gen Z Kid Cable.

    Pretty sure Major X's Cable appearance is a flashback to c. X-Force v1 #1.

I was thinking more "Kid Cable is a melodramatic teenage idiot who isn't particularly likeable and makes the ineviable return of OG Cable a bigger-selling Event to look forward to".

Almost everything about Extermination was a mistake. Even Larraz was a mistake, he could've done issues for a better thing for a different office.

"God, what in Extermination wasn't a mistake?"

    "That one Tabby panel."

"Of course, God. You're absolutely right."

    Ugh, so true.

He gets a do-over card? Ridiculous.

Because that's worked out so well in the past (IRL). :eye roll:

This was decent. It tied everything together in a 'believable' way, delved a bit into Kid Cable and fixed Cyclops (he is my favourite character and I have no problem with him feeling wrong about an era of his life, that is human and I expect characters to have flaws that they learn from.)

This issue was actually quite good and fast-paced.

We didn't have to go through 5 issues of fillers like the Resurrection of Phoenix which can actually be told in just one issue.

I am glad 'Resurrection of Cyclops' is done in one issue instead of the Phoenix and Wolverine resurrections which seems to be never ending.

Yeah, it's how the US got rid of slavery! And how the world defeated Hitler!
