    I'm still (a lot!) older than her, but . . . yeah.

Hehe. I know Diamondback has been around that long, but Sable felt shorter to me for some reason. Funny how time creeps up on everyone!

And Silver Sable's first appearance came a few months before Diamondback's.

(I also created a Diamondback Appreciation thread just a little while ago:

Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #23 Apr 1994
    "Death Threats"
The issue begins in the law offices of Matt Murdock (who is believed dead, but his alter ego Daredevil is very much alive).
Silver is courting the services of Murdock's partner to help clear her beau Jacques who is being accused of treason.
Meanwhile, Paladin has tracked down Johnathan Lee, a man who had been embezzling money from Silver Sable International.
A phone rings in the office and Silver is called back to the Symkarian Embassy.
But while that conversation takes place, Deadpool dispatches Silver's limo driver and waits for Silver.
Silver arrives and a small scuffle ensues before Silver kicks him out of the limo and speeds away.
Undaunted, Deadpool carjacks a cab and pursues.
Just as he pulls up to Silver's limo, Daredevil comes in to make the save.

Deadpool flees through a manhole and Daredevil and Silver follow.
A brief interlude reveals that it is the Genesis Coalition who sent Deadpool after Silver.
Back to the action, a fight erupts in the sewers of New York. Silver and Daredevil corner Deadpool.

Deadpool refuses to reveal who sent him, and in an anti-climatic scene Silver agrees to pay him handsomely for the information and he agrees.
The last page tells how Paladin learned that The Foreigner was behind the embezzling scheme, as he tried to gain control of Silver Sable International.

Sandman in the back-up story "Doubts and Insecurities"!
In a short story, the focus is on Sandman as he tries to cope with the new responibilities of being the leader of the Intruders.
He worries that he may not have what it takes to do the job. As he walks, he comes across a fire scene.

Firefighters try frantically to save the people inside. Sandman joins the cause

and saves the lives of the firefighters and the lives of the people inside.

This episode goes to reassure Sandman that he has what it takes to be a superhero.

Story by Gregory Wright. Art by Darren Auck & Jim Amash.
