I don’t see how Jeremy Jahn and Angry Joe can seriously call the special effects bad but not the terrible green screen in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Chris Claremont confirmed that Dark Phoenix was meant to be two films.
https://www.insider.com/dark-phoenix...tations-2019-8"Simon wanted to do it as two films," Claremont confirmed. "One to make the audience fall in love with Jean and the other to break their hearts. But to do it in an hour and 50 minutes is a challenge. To his credit, despite a lot of outside interference from companies that will remain nameless, he pretty much got away with it."
X-men Dark Phoenix new Storyboard Jean
I lost track of this after seeing it. Any news about the Blu ray?
Any chance of seeing some deleted scenes?
They were talking about this not too long ago on reddit a little over a week ago. Some people seem to found Jean’s situation relatable.

Oh, and Sophie explicitly states that Jean is not meant to be a villain. Still wonder why they call this Dark Phoenix.

Say what you will about Sophie Turner and this movie, but she was dedicated to her character. She was every bit as dedicated to playing Jean Grey as she was Sansa Stark. You can usually tell when an actor or actress doesn’t care for their character and would rather not do the role. I never got that impression with Turner, either in this movie for X-Men Apocalypse.
