Yeah, I don't see they adapting the story anymore. Which is also probably not good news for Jean as a character, since that's her main storyline.

hmmm that's actually a good point. what makes me annoyed is that Jean becomes Phoenix and instantly (more or lees) becomes dark. there is a transition and as Claremont mentioned she saves the universe as a benevolent figure. we never see that in the xmen films. and it is Jean's emotions and desire that corrupt the force, it didnt learn jealousy or rage until Jean saw cyclops kiss dazzler and then when the inner circle played with her mind. we dont get this in this new reboot of the dark Phoenix.

Phoenix in X3 never once fought any the X-Men and was only in it for 10 minutes. That movie definitely treated the storyline worse.

she fought wolverine, she killed cyclops, she killed Xavier and it was more entertaining. it was much better than this new dark Phoenix.

Jean can do so much better than "Phoenix! Phoenix Angsty angsty gumdrops! Phoenix!" At least they'll write her like a character if they use her and not a prop. Looking at you, WatXM.

She didn’t fight Wolverine. She let him stab her to death. That’s an assisted suicide, not a fight.

Killing Cyclops off-screen is not a fight. Either is dusting Xavier who put up no fight what so ever, who also didn’t die.

She blasted Wolverine with her demolecularization whatever first. She attacked him.

The force in this movie looks nothing like the energy avatar Jean had in Apocalypse, which was present as her own mutant power.

Yeah, but torture doesn’t count as a fight. Jean had already knocked him out earlier in the movie with ease. She was just toying him at the end of the movie.

Obviously she's OP, that's the whole point, but you were arguing that she didn't fight him when she did indeed attack him.

Watched it..fun. Jean and Magneto were dynamic. Liked the Storm moments too. Suprised by Nightcrawler during the final fight scene.

Jason and Emma meant nothing in this scenario. Lol.

But he was talking about the original story he wrote, in which they were involved. LOL.

Does this mean TAS still has the best Phoenix story adaptation? It certainly seems right from the looks of it.
