If they drop review embargo early that is first real positive sign about movies you can get these days
Batman V Superman did have good scenes though.

    Was it the pre-reshoots version?

Makes it seem like fans never walk out of these screenings disappointed and unhappy.

That movie was bad from start to finish I love Cronenberg and I love the FF but him and FF aren't things that should be mixed together. Sometimes you get Peanut Butter and Chocolate and sometimes you get Mayonnaise and Banana's.

Oh, you’re talking about the first F4 film?

Trank said he wanted to do a film inspired by Cronenberg hence the body horror aspects and Doom blowing up heads. Now I love Cronenberg films but they don't match the First Family of Marvel IMO.

I remember actually being excited for the Trank FF. I was a kid when the Evans & Alba versions came out & I remember liking them from all the noise & colors but watching them again around the time Tranks came out realized they weren't that good. Especially Rise.
I know the horror aspects weren't for everyone but I get what he was trying to bring, especially since comic adapts at the time were heavy on the realism. I'd have loved to see what he could've made without studio interference. I just thought the idea of, hey these people have been exposed to something that's altering their bodies, how would they deal? was interesting. The Evans one touched on it but for comedy. I think there could've been a way to embrace color with the more Cronenberg horror elements.
