I'm loving these retrospective trailers. The buildup isn't just about what happened in the movies: it's about what happened in the world they were released in. To me, this is nostalgia done right (as compared to Endgame)
I enjoy the MCU and all (though I have a feeling it may start delivering diminished returns to me going forward, especially considering how mediocre Endgame was) , but I'm never going to get as amped up for one of those movies as I will for an X-Men film. Maybe the look and feel of the franchise hits a nostalgic sweet spot for me. Maybe I'm just such an X-Men fan that I'll always get freaking hyped for one of these.
Whatever it is, I'm just going to enjoy the feeling until the movie comes out and hope those juices get flowing again whenever Feige slaps the X-Men into the MCU.
What can I say but, "I love comics."
