It isn't bad, but I was hoping for more. Not MCU more, but the Fox crew has shown better stuff.

That said, it does look good, especially for a first time director.

These made me laugh. Fom the X-Men yearbook I think IGN posted.

    That was amusing. Slightly.

I have noticed a considerable change in the marketing of Dark Phoenix. I think the Disney/Fox merger definitely helped with that. I hope it shows in the final box office. It's in the interest of Disney, Marvel, and the MCU for this movie to succeed.

This movie needs be more than middle of the road. Go weird and artsy like Legion. Deep like Logan. Cinematic like Dofp. Innovative like First Class. Or comic realness like Deadpool. Right now...it's just ok and alittle generic. For the last film and this subject, that's sad.

I should probably put this in the New Mutants thread, but when that movie was announced McAvoy and Shipp were rumoured to be in it. If that is true, it could explain the delays and the emphasis on the Colossus cameo instead. Disentangling it from the Old non-Disney Fox....except Deadpool.

Not at this point. Its too late. With the movie releasing in a month and millions have already been spent on promoting it and theaters contracted and reserved space for showtimes, they'd be losing money delaying it. All NM did was give a date and trailer. DP is alot further along in the marketing and pre-sales push. They are releasing it bc they are satisified with the product. Delaying it a year to do reshoots to do some drastic changes will only be a mess.
