Doubt it cause it would cut into how many times they can play that movie in a day. It’s already a long movie, intermission breaks would just make it even longer. Non blockbusters ? Sure they could do that. The Batman is gonna want every screen possible as many times as possible in a day.

Anyway only thing that worries me about the runtime is that it’s Batman. That’s a long time to sit with a film with that kind of mood and tone. It’s easier to breeze through let’s say Endgame at 3hours because while it gets heavy. Their is a lot of humor and fun to break it up and keep things moving along. 3Hours of Moody angst could get hard to watch even if it’s great. I trust Reeves though and I’m sure it will be fine. Penguin looked fun in the trailers, so I’m sure he will find ways to break it up a bit.

God, can we not just have an alternative "cinema" cut for films that are blatantly too long (looking at you too, Eternals)? - let people vote with their wallet on how many piss breaks they're comfortable taking. Or at least ban cocaine from the Editing Suite.

Locally, both Endgame and No Time To Die had intermissions. With Endgame, you could chose which screening you got but there was no choice for Bond.

I really enjoyed the intermissions personally.

True. They do make a decent amount off concessions, maybe a third of the total income, but ticket sales are a lot higher than that.

I had the issue you mention during Joker. It was a great film but watching it was tough precisely because it was a never-ending spiral of depression.

I cant seem to reoccur endgame that much although I do remember watching it and knowing some major things happened like Iron Man and Black Widow died, Thor added so much weight and there was big fight at the end, but I will be lying to say if I can tell were the 3 hours went.

I feel The Batman is running on a different game, it is going more for drama, story, depth, style. I am expecting like a lord of the rings serious film consciousness with The Batman. lord of the rings used to clock little under 3 hours.

Hoping this'll break my losing streak of film watches. I so want to like a new movie again.
They just announced a sequel to that today and I personally say bring it

I'm not 100% sure about the Batman trailer but I'm optimistic. One thing I really hope the movie has in store is great Batmobile action, that has always been some of my favorite Batman movie things.

Yeah ... I am 100% on board with the new Batmobile.

That thing looks cool and is better than the Battank stuff of recent years. I've always enjoyed the modded car look for a younger Batman, glad it is happening on film.

The one scene so far with Penguin is promising.

Edit to add: so the press cut kit is coming out and one of the test cuts of the film was over 4 hours! So Reeves submitted a 2:55 and a 4+ hour cut for final!

    Damn man ...

    One guy's take...

The character is literally a picture of obsession.

That obsession extending to putting his own batmobile together himself?

Always made complete sense to me, and I am glad it will finally wind up on the screen.

Anyone else think the practice of greenlighting a sequel to a movie that hasn't even been released yet kind of jumping the gun (even if it is Batman)? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it's release as much as the next guy (I've bought the Hot Wheels versions of the Batmobile and Batcycle and the McFarlane figure today, so maybe a little more, actually), but didn't they also do this for Green Lantern and Justice League?
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.

Maybe I'll wait for them to release the director's cut.
