How about David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne in Gotham.

Does this mean the DCEU is over?
The last few films implied Batman had been fighting crime in Gotham for decades, so it might be a younger version of the Affleck character.

Yea but the kid looks very young and fragile. I dont think anyone gonna buy his as a full fledged batman unless he puts on 50+ lbs in muscle and grows out of that whiney voice.
Naw they are just keeping what works and ignoring what doesnt. Aquaman and Wonder Woman still work and according to Mamoa Canvill is still superman but who knows how true that is.
Given it's a younger Batman--and probably set in the past--that doesn't rule out Ben Affleck as the older Batman. Maybe in ten years Affleck will return for a Batman Beyond/Kingdom Come/Dark Knight Returns movie. Anyway, he is a producer for this Matt Reeves Batman.
If it's supposed to be a detective movie, I hope whodunnit is an unknown villain (or else an obscure one), so even the audience won't know the answer to the mystery. All the other name villains can just be side characters.
I have a feeling whoever is the Batman in the Reeves movie will just be THE Batman going forward for all WB/DC movies. Afleck just did not seem to enjoy his time as Batman at all, and I really would be shocked if he ever came back unless WB forced him to for one more movie.
I think if Reeves is going for a young Batman, he still shouldn't be any younger than 25 in real life. The actor needs some seasoning to anchor a major movie like this, and I do still think that the actor needs to be physically imposing and not just having the director fake it with camera angles.
Here's the list of actors mentioned in this thread with their ages so we can see things more clearly:
Jack O'Connell - 28
Jake Gyllenhaal - 38
Michael Fassbender - 41
Karl Urban - 46
Matt Cohen - 36
Jensen Ackles - 40
Jamie Dornan - 36
Richard Madden - 32
Finn Wittrock - 34
David Mazouz - 17
The only actor who is really in the right age range is Jack O'Connell, and I still think at 5'8", he's way too short. If they were willing to go up to 35, I'd suggest Garrett Hedlund, who starred in Tron: Legacy.
Aren't there ANY good actors in Hollywood who are aged 25-30 who could be a convincing young Bruce Wayne/Batman?
I know some are going to complain but I agree 5'8" is way too short. To me Batman should be imposing and should be at least 6' tall if not a little taller.
