It's a rights issue. They revert back to Marvel fully in March. Part of the reason Netflix stopped making further series is because they didn't own the content lock and stock.

The shows were all produced by Marvel Television. Netflix had exclusive distribution rights, but never actually owned the series.

If we are lucky, we might get a DVD release.

I don't see them putting those shows on Disney+. Hulu maybe that's where they let quirky or darker stuff like Modok and Hit Monkey stay.

Daredevil was why i got a Netflix account so its a bummer. I'll try and rewatch it before it leaves in March.

    Yep.

It's also just kind of an odd move.

What draw will those shows even have this long after most folks have seen them and Marvel is clearly not bringing that aspect of it's "Live Action..." continuity back?

Just don't see them being much of a get for wherever they wind up.

The draw is for Disney in getting content they own off a rival streaming platform. The viewers are probably not much of a consideration here.

Not a particularly big "Ding..." no matter how someone could frame it.

I seriously doubt that anyone is signing up or staying a subscriber based on the shows in question.

It's a pretty slight draw for Netflix that the company can probably do just fine without.

Daredevil and Fisk popped up recently. So atleast that is getting some traction.

Yeah. I believe Daredevil briefly returned to the Netflix top ten in December, so there's still a potential audience out there. Having the content on their own platform means Disney can benefit from any continued interest going forward.

    This.

The distribution deal is done. So Disney either takes these series elsewhere or they'll be consigned to the void for the foreseeable future.

It'll be Hulu for the USA and on Disney Plus via Star for just about everywhere else.
